193 hundred and fifty pounds sterling to him in hand at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents by the said Charles Carroll Esq.r well and truly paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and of every part and parcel thereof doth fully Clearly and Absolutely Exonerate Acquit release and discharge him the said Charles his heirs and Assignes for ever Hath given granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these presents doth for him and his heirs give Grant bargaine sell alien enfeoffe & Confirme unto him the s.d Charles Carroll his heirs and Assignes All those severall tracts of land plantations Improvements and Negro slaves herein after described (that is to say) All that tract or parcel of land Called Goodluck Originally taken up by one Mich.l Ball and by Edward Ball brother and heir at law to the said Michael Conveyed to the said Joshua Cæcill party to these presents And also all that tract or parcel of land being the residue and remaining part not taken away by older or ancient surveys of a Certaine tract of land Called Craycrofts right Originally Containing and by pat.t expressing to Containe four hundred and fifty acres but upon a late resurvey found to Containe Clear of all former surveys but one hundred ninety and nine acres And also all that one hundred acres Called Cuckolds rest Originally taken up one Thomas Hyde and by him devised to his two daughters the one dying in her Minority her devidend or moyety descended to the other of whome and her husband Rob Johnson the same was purchased by the said Joshua Cæcill And also all that two hundred acres Called Margery Originally laid out for Richard Gardiner and by his relict Margery and her husband Robert Johnson the same was purchased Strutton sold tot he said Joshua Cecill all lyeing and being in Prince Georges County and also these six Negro slaves hereinafter named and described (Viz.t) Caine Fancy Herculus Jacob Robin and Tom all aged about thirty years And lastly twenty head of good strong and able Cattle none under the Age of three years or exceeding that of seven years Togeather with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances (to) |
