190 to these Indentures Interchangeably have put their hands and seales the day & year first above written Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of us William Aisquith Tho.s Underwood (S) Adam Bell Mary Underwood (S) Memorandum that the Day of the Date within Written before us two of her Majesty.s Justices of S.t Marys County Court came the within named Tho.s Underwood and Mary his wife and did acknowledge the Land to be the Right of him the said Peter Joyes which the s.d Peter Joy hath of the Gift of the s.d Thomas Underwood and Mary his wife from them and their heirs hath remised and made qu^i^t Claime thereof to the s.d Peter Joy & his heirs forever and alsoe the said Tho.s Underwood and Mary his wife hath granted for them and their heirs that the Land with bargained against them and their heirs they will warrant to the s.d Peter Joy and his heirs forever and for this Acknowledgment the s.d Tho.s and Mary Remise quitt Claime grant & agreement the s.d Peter hath given him the s.d Tho.s and Mary being solely and secretly Examined According to Law did declare her free and voluntary Consent thereunto William A^i^squith Adam Bell recorded Decemb.r y.e 12.th 1713 948 x.d This Indenture made this second day of October one thousand seven hundred and thirteen Between Thomas Chamberlain of Baltemore County Gentl of the one part and Charles Carroll of the City of Annapolis Esq of the other part Wittnesseth that the said Thomas for and in Consideration of the sume of eighty seven pounds Currant and lawfull money of Great Brittaine to him in hand paid by the said Charles Carroll Esq.r the receipt whereof he the said Thomas doth hereby acknowledge and thereof doth acquit and discharge him the Said Charles Carroll his (heirs) and |
