187 of twenty thousand pounds of Tobacco to them the said Underwood and Mary his wife or one of them in hand paid att and before the Ensealing hereof by the said Peter Joy the Receipt whereof they the said Thomas Underwood and Mary his Wife doth hereby acknowledge accordingly and thereof and of Every Parte thereof doe Clearly and Absolutely give Grant sell Alien Enfeoff and Confirme unto the said Peter Joy and his heirs all That Track or parcell of Land Called Sebergham lying in Talbott County upon the north side of the North East branch of Great Choptank River beginning at an heckory marked with twelve notches Viz.t three one east Quarter the lowest Notches one two opposite Quarter standing one Equall hight with the highest notches one the two other Quarters which hickory standing under the branch of the River a little below the uppemost vallue and fresh run over which the Roade to Delaway bay pases before itt Cresses the River and from that hickory itt runns northwest over the said Roade by an heckory and their markt with three ^notches^ for three hundred and twenty perches and from the end of that Nor^th^west line itt runns north East four hundred perches & Intersect a line drawn north west three hundred and Twenty perches from a small red red Oake markt as afd standing by a branch about halfe a mile ^above^ the Foard of Delaway Road and from the said Oake Running down the River to the said hickory be itt more or less Togeather with all and every Easements proffits Commodities Emoluments and appurtenances whatsoever to the s.d land belonging To have and to hold the same and every parte and parcell thereof unto the said Peter Joy his heirs and Assignes forever to the only proper use and behoofe of him the s.d Peter Joy his heirs and Assignes forever and to no other use intent or purpose whasoever and the s.d T^h^omas Underwood and Mary his wife them or their heirs Ex.rs Admstrators doth Covenant promise grant and agree to and with the said Peter Joy his heirs Executors Adm.rs & Assignes that he the said Tho.s Underwood and Mary his wife att the time of the Ensealing & Delivery of these presents of the s.d land premises and of every parte & parcell (thereof) |
