x.d      This Indenture made this second day of Novemb.r
       in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and
       twelve Between James Beall of Prince Georges County
       Gent of the one part and Stephen Johnson of the same
       County Cooper of the other part Wittnesseth that the s.d
       James for and in Consideration of the neat Quantity of
       four thousand pounds of Tobacco to him in hand at or before
       the ensealing and delivery of these presents well and truly
       paid or secured to be paid by the said Stephen the receipt
       whereof he the said James doth hereby Acknowledge and
       thereof doth acquitt and discharge him the said Stephen his
       heirs ex.rs and adm.rs for ever by these presents as also for
       divers other good Causes and Considerations him thereunto
       moveing Hath demised granted betaken and to farm
       Letten and by these presents doth demise grant and to
       farm betake and lett unto him the said Stephen his heirs
       and Assignes  All that Messuage or Tenem.t Called Bealls
       discovery being part of a tract Called Bealls pleasure
       lying to the eastward of Bealls pasture and on the east
       side of a branch Called the Cattaile Marsh and on the
       south side of a beaver dam Marsh that Issueth out of the
       eastern branch of Potomack river Beginning at a black
       oake standing on a point by the beaver dam side it
       being the first bound tree of the said tract and running up
       the said Cattail marsh branch south east eighty four per.s
       then east one hundred and tenn perches to a parcel of
       land taken up by Col Henry Jowles runing thence east eighteen
