113) Merchant of the one part and Amos Garrett of the afd County in the afd province Merch.t of the other part Wittnesseth that the said Samuel Norwood afd by his last will an testament dated the 26.th day of November 1706 duely attested and proved 16.th June 1709 before the Judge for probat of wills and Granting the adm.rcons &c in the said will (amongst other things) the said Sarah Norwood is appointed Ex.rx thereof and Impowered sell the plantation Called Todds Range with all the Improvements thereon Whereon the said Sam.ll Norwood then dwelt and also all that tract or parcell of Land being part of a tract or parcell of Land Called Majors Choyce Lying in Baltimore Co.ty which the said Samuel Norwood purchased from Samuel Dorsey as by the said afore recited will may at Large appear Now this Indenture Wittnesseth that the said Sarah Norwood for and in Consideration of the sum of one hundred and forty pounds sterling money of Great Brittaine to the said Sarah in hand paid by the said Amos Garrett the receipt whereof she doth hereby acknowledge to have received thereof and every part & parcell thereof doth hereby fully Clearly and absolutely Exonerate acquitt and discharge him the said Amos Hath given granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed as by these presents she the said Sarah Norwood doth for herself & her heires give grant bargain sell alien enfeoffe & confirm unto the said Amos Garrett all & every the afd two tracts of Land (that is to say) Todds Range Lying in Ann Arundell County and adjoyning on the head of Dorseys Creek (and on the Common [illegible] out the gate of the Citty of Annapolis as p the bounds ^these^ of may appear and Laid out for one hundred and twenty acres more or Less the other tract of Land being part of a tract or parcel of Land Called Majors Choyce lying in Baltemore County Containing two hundred acres more or Less as by Sam.ll Dorseys Conveyance unto the said Samuel Norwood his heires or assignes Indented acknowledged and recorded may more fully and at Large appear To have and to hold the said two tracts of Land afd Todds Range Lyeing in Ann arund.ll County Containing one hundred and twenty acres more or Less and premises & one other tract of Land being part of a tract or parcell of Land Called Majors Choice lying in Baltemore County Containing two hundred acres more or Less and premises with all and singular the woods underwoods timber trees fruit trees nurseries pastures meadows houses and all other the appur whatsoever to both tracts or parcells of Land belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the said Amos Garrett his heires and assignes for ever as a Good & perfect Estate in fee simple And the said Sarah Norwood for her self and heires doth hereby Covenant promise grant and agree to and with the said Amos Garrett his heires and assignes that the said Sarah Norwood shall at all times from henceforth and from time to time acquitt & Discharge or otherwise save and keep harmless as well the said Amos Garrett as also all the afd two tracts of Land &c.a Called Todds Range (Containing) |
