110 River side and on the freehold of William Dorrington and from the said Ceder south east eighty deg.rs east up the river to a plantation now in the Possession of Rich.d Teat w.th he the said Teat Leases of the said Indians and from the said plantation north east 7.d east one thousand seven hundred & forty perches to the mouth of the afd Secretary Sewells Creeke Containing and laid out for thirteen thousand nine hundred eighty two acres Carefully surveyed p Tho Ennalls sur Regis recorded July y.e 25.th 1712 437 Sommerset County in Maryland Whereas by an Act of Assembly Past at A Generall ^Assembly^ begunn and held at Annapolis the 23.d day of 8.br Last Impowering us the under subscribers Geo Gale Sam.ll Worthington Charles Ballard & Benj.a Wailes as Commissioners to Cause three thousand acres of Land to be Laid out for the use of the Nanticoke Indians for so Long as they shall Occupy y.e same And further to Cause such Lands to be Vallued by a Jury of substantiall Freeholders Wee doe hereby Certifie that on and about the fourteenth day of December Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred & eleven we did Cause M.r W.m Whittington Jun.r Survey.r to Lay out for the said Indians twenty five hundred acres of Land on the North side of Broad Creeke being a tract of Land Called Greenland bounded as followeth Beginning at a marked Holly tree standing near the wadeing place of Broad Creek thence runing down the said Creeke and bound therewith north seventy one deg.rs and thirty minuetts west seven hundred and sixty six pole to a marked Spannish Oake on the east side of a small Creek Called Whale Creek thence north east five hundred and ninety pole to a marked white oake thence east and by south three hundred and sixty two Pole to a marked white oake thence south twenty six degrees easterly six hundred and forty five pole to the main Branch of the afd Broad Creek thence down y.e said branch and bounded [illegible] a streight Line to the first bounder Containing and laid out for two thousand five hundred Acres And wee do farther [illegible] that we did then Cause the said M.r W.m Whittington to Lay out for the use of the said Indians on the south side of Broad Creek five hundred acres of Land bounded as followeth Begining at a marked white oake standing on the south side of broad (Creek) |
