       On the back of the foure going Deed was thus indorst

       Then was The within Deed acknowledgd by the within named
       Philemon Lloyd Esq.r according to Law and also by Margrett his wiffe
       who being privately examined consented thereto without
       Compulsion or Ryrraint      before Viz

x.d  This Indenture made this 20.th day of August one
       thousand seven hundred and nine By and Between John
       Martin of Baltemore County planter of the one part &
       Charles Carroll of the Citty of Annapolis in Annarundell County
       Gentleman of the other parte  Wittnesseth that the said Jn.o Martin
       for and in Consideracon of the sum of ninety nine pounds four
       shill & Eight pence Currant & Lawfull money of England to him
       in hand at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents
       well and truly secured & paid by the said Charles Carroll the
       receipt whereof he the said John doth hereby acknowledge
       and of every part & pcell thereof doth fully and absolutely
       acquitt and discharge him the said Charles Carroll his heires
       and assignes for ever by these presents hath given granted bargained
       sold alleined enfeoffed and Confirmed as by these presents he doth
       for him and his heires give grant bargaine sell alien Enfeoffe &
       Confirme unto him the said Charles Carroll his heires and
