158 This Indenture made this Twenty third day of May in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and Tenn Between John Maccomas of Annarundell County son and heir of Daniel Maccomas late of the said County deced of the one part and Stephen Gill of the afd County of the other part Wittnesseth that for and in Consideration that the said Stephen Gill hath this day Conveyed an Estate in fee simple unto the abovenamed John Maccomas of in & to one hundred Eighty and Two acres of Land lying in Baltemore County part of a Tract of Land Called Littleton he the said Jn.o Maccomas hath Given granted bargained sold aliened ^released^ enfeffed and Confirmed and in and by these presents doth Give Grant bargain sell alien Enfeoff and Confirme unto him the said Stephen Gill his heires and assignes for ever All that tract or pcell of Land Called Browns Chance lying on the south side of Anne Arund.ll or seaverne River Beginning at a bound white oake in y.e North north west line of Richard Warfield running with the s.d line north west one hundred Sixty and two perches to a bound white oake of Jonas Pierpoint then with the said Pierp.ts line west by South ninty Six perches then south and by East one hundred twenty and Six pers to a bound white oake of Edward Gardiners then east three deg.o south one hundred thirty and two pers to the first bounded white oake Containing and laid out for ninty eight acres of land be it more or less according to the survey thereon made To have and To hold the said Tract of Land with all the housing fencing thereon Erected with all and singular other the premises and appurtences thereunto belonging unto him the said Stephen Gill his heirs and assignes for Ever to the only proper use & behooffe of him the said Stephen Gill his heirs and assignes for Ever and to no other intent meaning or purpose Whatsoever And the said John Maccomas doth for him and his heires Covenant promise and agree to and w.th the said Stephen Gill his heires and assignes for Ever the said Tract of Land and premises for Ever warrant and defend against any pson or psons that shall or may Claim any Right title or Interest thereto as alsoe as allsoe against all manner of incumbrances whatsoever unto him the said Stephen Gill his heirs and assignes for ever In wittness whereof the said parties have hereunto sett their hands and seales the day and year first above written Sealed and De.ld in Jn.o M.ttcomas presence of On the back of the aforegoing his I Mark Charles Carroll Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Nick Jacob (To) |
