       Then Came before me Philemon Lloyd Esq one
       of her Maj.tys Justices of the prov.ll Court the within
       named Alex.a Forbase & acknowledge y.e within
       Instrum.t to be his act & Deed to y.e use of y.e within
       named W.m Bladen

       This Indenture made y.e 25.th day of Nov.r in the
       yeare of our Lord 1706 Between George Thompson
x.d  of S.t Maryes County in the province of Maryland
       Gent of the one parte & James Bowles of y.e s.d County
       and province merch.t of the other oth part Wittnesseth
       that the s.d George Thompson for & in consideracon
       of fifty pound ninteen shill & seven pence of good
       and Lawfull mony w.ch he the s.d Thompson now
       oweth and stands Justly Indebted for goods of him the
       s.d Bowles Recd by the s.d Thompson am.o to y.e above
       specified sume of mony and the s.d Thompson having
       from the s.d Bowles the time given him from the
       day of the date hereof unto y.e 25.th day of Dec.r 1707
       ensueing the deal hereof to pay unto y.e s.d Bowles
       the af.d sume of money  The s.d Thompson taking
       into his Consideration the s.d Bowleses speciall
       favor and kindness in the premises  The s.d George
       Thompson for himself his heirs Ex.rs ad.rs & assis
       doth hereby mortgage Bargain Sell alien Enfeoff
       and Confirme unto the s.d James Bowles his
       heirs Ex.rs ad.rs and assignes all y.t pcell of Land
       lying situating & being on Thompsons Islands in
       Dor.r County in the province of maryland and
       Comonly known by the name of the upper straights
       and now in the tenur & occupation of Hance
       Lawson and y.t the s.d James Bowles his heires
