       Loyd For his sole use and benefitt from the
       first day of this Instant January Anno Dni
       one Thousand seaven hundred and five for &
       During the time that I the said S.r Thomas
       Laurence Shall Continue Secretary and be
       absent from y.e s.d province of Maryland
       Togeather whith all Rights priviledges
       profitts Fees perquisites & advantages w.tsoever
       to y.e s.d office in any manner from y.e s.d first of
       January accrueing belonging or appertaining
       and in as Large & ample manner as I the
       said S.r Thomas Laurence by force & virtue
       of any Grant or Letters pattent to me made
       may or can exercise have or receive for or
       by reason of the same or the Execution thereof
       he the s.d Philemon Lloyd giveing such
       security to his Excellency the Governor of y.e
       s.d province of Maryland as he shall approve
       of for the safe custody of the records of the
       provinciall Court & of all other Records of
       the said province dureing such time as he y.e
       said Philemon Lody shall execute y.e said
       office of Secretary  In Wittness whereof
       I have hereunto sett my hand & seale
       this p.rsent Eighth day of Janury in the
       fourth yeare of the Reigne of our Sovereigne
       Lady Anne by y.e Grace of God of England Scotland
       France & Ireland Queen Defender of the faith
