830 said province of Maryland to any other of her Majestys plantations in a Merica & y.e same or any part thereof having received you shall dispose in Manner following viz all & every sume or sumes of Money which you shall receive you shall by y.e best Conveniency remitt to y.e Rector and Trustees of y.e said Colledge in Verginia or to their Lawfull attorney in England as from time to time you shall by them be advised & directed and all & every sume & sumes of Tob.o which you shall receive or shall become due you shall dispose of as to you shall seem most for y.e interest of the said Colledge allways provided that you shall take sufficient surtyes That all & every part of such Tob.o shall be Carryed to some part of England and you are hereby allowed in Consideration of your Charge & pains to Take & receive to your selfe at y.e rate of 5 percent for all money & Tob.o soe by you received & paid to y.e said Rector & Trustees or their attorney and you are as often as oppertunity presents at least ^twice^ every year to Transmitt true & perfect accounts of all your proceedings herein to y.e said Colledge & for all and everything & things which you shall legally do according to the True intent & meaning of these presents this shall be your sufficient warrant to Continue only during y.e pleasure of the rector & Trustees if the said Colledge for y.e time being in witness whereof we have hereunto sett our hands & seales this Third day of March 1703 Frances Nicholson (seale) Rector of Will & Mary Colledge Will Byrd (seale) Benja Harrison (seale) Int.r May y.e 23.d 1705 Miles Cary (seale) Will Randolph (seale) |
