       granted to y.e Colledg of William & Mary in Verginia by y.e Royall
       Charter from their Majestys King William & Queen Mary under
       the great seale of England bearing date att Westminster y.e Eight
       day of February Anno Domini 1692 in order to y.e better Manageing
       that part of the said Reven^u^e which arises from y.e peney
       per pound in the Province of Mary Land for y.e use of the said
       Colledge have Nominated Constituted Authorized & appointed
       and by these presents do nominate Constitute Authoriz & appoint
       you Alex.r Hall Gent of Annapolis Gen.t our True & Lawfull
       deputy or attorney for us & in our place and stead but to y.e use of y.e
       sd Colledge to demand & receive of all & every person or persons with
       in y.e said Province or Collony of Mary Land all & every part & percell
       of money & Tob.o which is as shall accrew due by vertue of
       their Majesty said grant of one peney per pd upon all Tob.o
       which is or shall accrew due by vertue of their Majestys said
