       heires  And the said Johannes by his deed duly acknowledged
       & recorded bearing date the two and twentyeth
       day of May one thousand six hundred Ninety Six
       conveyd & made over the other Moyety of the said Island
       to the said Col peter sayer & his heires Now this p.rsent
       Indenture Witnesseth that they the said Charles Blake
       and Henrietta Mariah his wife for and in Consideration
       of the Quantity of twenty Thousand pounds of
       Tobacco and the ^full and Just^ sume of two hundred pounds sterl
       to them in hand paid or secured to be paid at or
       before the ensealing & delivery of these presents the
       receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge  And thereof &
       of every part & parcell thereof they the sd Charles
       and Henrietta Maria his wife do ^hereby^ fully clearly and
       absolutely exonerate acquitt & discharge the said
       Charles Carroll his heires & assigns for ever Have given
       Granted bargaind sold Aliened Enfeoffd & Confirmd
       as by these presents they the said Charles & Henrietta
       Mariah his wife do hereby for them & their heires Give
       Grant bargaine sell Aliene Enfeoff & Confirm unto the
       said Charles Carroll & his heires all that Island called
       poplar Island lying to the south of the Isle of Kent
       in the Bay of Cheasopeak Containing by Estimacon
       one thousand Acres more or less  To have & to hold the said
       Island together with all & singular the dwelling houses
       Outhouses Tob.o houses & all other the Appurts thereunto
       belonging or in any wise appertayning unto him the
       said Charles Carroll his heires & Assigns to the only proper
