783 Memory by his Letters pattents under the Great Seale of this province bearing date the fifth day of December* one *december thousand six hundred & forty Did grant unto Richard Thompson and his heires All that island called poplars Island w.ch afterwards came to be the right & inheritance of Thomas Hawkins of Nominy in the County of Westmorland and Colony of Virginia who by his last will & testament in writing devised one half of the said Island to Seth Foster & his heirs one fourth part thereof to Thomas his son & the remaining four part to Elizabeth her Daughter the wife of the said Seth which said Seth afterwards viz.t upon the fourteenth day of November one thousand six hundred Sixty nine obtaind a Grant from the said Cecilius under the Great Seale of this province for three fourth parts of the said Island And the said Thomas the son for the remaining fourth part And whereas the whole Island afterwards came to be the right of the said Seth & Eliz.a his wife they by an instrument under their hands & seals dated the fourth day of March one thousand six hundred sixty nine conveyd all their right title & Interest of in and unto the same unto Alex.r Dehinioyossa of Bonnell in the King province of Gilderland who by his last will & Testament Devised the same to Johannes & Alexander his sons & to his Daughters who by a Certain Instrument dated the two and twentyeth day of June one thousand ^six hundred^ eighty seven as well under their hands & seals as under the hands & seals of their husbands releasd all their right thereunto unto Alexander their brother which said Alexander by his Dead indented bearing date the seventh day of Aprill One thousand six hundred Eighty six Conveyed one Moiety of the said Island to Coll.o petter sayer & his |
