       This Indenture made the fifth day of octob.r
       Ann Dom 1699 and in the Eleventh yeare of the
       Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord King William the third
       by the Grace of god of England Scotland France & Ireland
       Defender of the faith &c  Betweene Samuell Baldwin
       and Joseph Ayloffe Esq.rs William Pocklington and
       John Thurlby Gent of the one part and Robert Spicer of
       London Linnendraper William Adams of London Silkeman
       and James Wagstaffe of London Ironmonger of the other part
       Whereas the Kings Maj.tys Comission under the Great Seal
       of England grounded upon the Sev.rall Statutes made Conferming
       Bankrupts bearing date at Westminster the fifteenth day of
       Septemb.r now Last past hath been Awarded ag.t Hugh
       Calverly and Rob.t Scott of London M.rchants & Copartners
       Directed to the said Samell Baldwin Joseph Ayloffe
       Esq.rs William Pocklington and John Thurlby togeather
       with John Meares Gent thereby giveing full power and
       Authority to them the said Comissioners foure or three of them
       whereof the said Samuell Baldwin or Joseph Ayloffe to be
       one to execute the same as by the said Comission relacon being
       thereunto had may more fully appeare  And whereas
       the said Sam.ll Baldwin or Joseph Ayloffe W.m Pocklington
       and John Thurlby partyes to these p.rsents haveing begun to
       putt the said Comission in Execution upon Examinacon of
       Witnesses & other good Proofe upon oath before them had &
       taken have found that the said Hugh Calverly & Rob.t Scott
       did for Sev.rall Years Last past before the date & suing
       forth of the said Comission Trade and Deale as M.rchants
       and Copartners in the bying & selling of sev.rall sorts of
       goods wares & M.rchandizes at there house or ware house
       within in the Citty of London and that they sought and
       endeavoured to gett their Liveing by bying and selling tradeing
       and dealeing in such the Trade or business of M.rchants as
       afsd and that they the said Hugh Calverly & Rob.t Scott soe
