405 or letter of Attorney under the hands and seales of them the said Hugh Sheild and Ellianor his Wife bearing date the thirtieth day March 1700 and sufficiently witnessed and acknowledged to be the Act and Deed of them the said Hugh and Ellianor his Wife also upon Record in the Prov.ll Court of this Province made ordained Constituted and appointed his said Ex.cy Collonel Nathaniell Blakiston Gov.r of Mary Land &c.a their true and Lawfull attorney giving and granting unto his said Ex.cy full Power and Authority as their said attorney to Seale and Execute one or more sufficient Conveyances and Assureances in the Law to such Person or Persons as would buy and purchase the said Plantations Lands and tenements their heires and Assignes and to do performe and Execute all other Lawfull and Reasonable Acts and things Whatsoever for the better Conveying and Assuring the Premises to any such Purchaser or Purchasers as shall be minded to buy the same their heires and assignes forever Now this Indenture further Witnesseth that his said Ex.cy Collonell Nathaniel Blakiston in pursuance of the Powers and Authoritys given him in the afd letter of Attorney and for and on the behalfe of the said Hugh Sheild and Elianor his Wife and their heires for and in Consideration of the sum of of forty five pounds sterling which his said Ex.cy doth acknowledge to have recd at the ensealing and delivery of these Presents and thereof for the said (Hugh |
