404) to be the Attorney of Hugh Sheild of Witton Gilbert in the County of Durham and Kingdome ass.ring Yeoman and Ellianour his Wife the only sister and heiress of Michaell Taylor late of the County of Annarundell planter for the said Hugh Sheild and Ellianour his Wife one the one parte And Charles Stevens of the County of Annarundell Planter of the other Parte Witnesseth that Whereas the said Michaell Taylor some few yeares since dyed Intestate within this Province in the County afd having been in his life time and at the time of his Death Seized in and possessed of A Certaine Plantation in Ann Arundell County lying upon Sevene River Called the freindship being the said Michaell Taylors purchase of Thomas Browne late of the County afd Planter And Whereas the said Hugh Sheild and Elianor his Wife have by the Oathes of Diverse Credible Witnesses taken before John Blakistone Esq.r one of the Maj.ts Extraordinary of his Maj.tys high Court of Chancery in the Kingdome of England at the City of Durham the fifth day of August Anno Domini 1699 and Recorded in the Prov.ll Court of this Province sufficiently proved the said Ellianor to be the only sister and heiress of the said Michell Taylor And have likewise by a Certaine Instrument of Writing |
