       Know all me by these p.rsents That wee John Duddleston and Thomas Duddleston of the Citty of Bristoll
       Marchants have made assigned ordained authorized appointed and Deputed and in our places and steads by these
       presents doe putt and Constitute Our Trusty & welbeloved Friend Christopher Haswell of the Citty of Bristoll Merchant
       Our true and lawfull attorney for us and in Our names and stead and to & for our only proper use and behoofe
       do aske demand sue for Levy Recover and receive of and from Theophilous Turford George Lengan Edward
       Gibbs & Rebecca Brookes of Maryland or wheresoever else they shall be found And of and from all and every ^other^
       person and persons whom itt shall or may Concerne Inhabiting resideing & abideing in Virginia or Maryland
       aforesaid all such sume & sumes of money Debts and tobaccoes ^goods^ wares marchandizes dues & demands
       whatsoever which are due and oweing unto us or either of us or detained from us or either of us by the
       said Theophilous Turford George Lengan Edward Gibbs and Rebeccah Brookes or any of them or by any
       other the said person or persons whether the same be due either by bill bond Booke accompt or otherwise
       howsoever or for any matter or cause whatsoever Giveing and by these presents granting unto our said
       Attorney full power and Authority in ^the^ premisses the said Theophilous Turford George Lengan Edward Gibbs
       and Rebecca Brookes or any or either of them or any other the said person & persons their Ex.rs or adm.rs
       or any of their goods or chattells to sue arrest Attach declare Impleade Condemne and imprison And them and
       their goods and chattells out of prison againe to deliver or cause to be delivered and alsoe to compound with them
       or any of them touching or concerning the premisses and after the Record thereof or composicon made
       Acquittances or other lawfull discharges for the same soe received or Compounded for for us & in our names
       and steads to make seale & deliver as our Acts & deeds and attorney also or attorneys One or more
       under him to make & substitute and the same againe att his pleasure to revoke And Generally to doe
       Execute performe fulfill and finish all and whatsoever else shall be needfull or necessary to be done in or
       about the premisses in as large & ample manner and forme as wee our selfe may or might doe if
       wee were personally present Or the deeds thereof ratifying confirming and allowing all and whatsoever
       our said attorney shall doe or cause to be done in or about the premisses by vertue of these p.rsents
       to be as good and effectuall in the Law as if we had done the same in our owne persons In  
       Wittnes whereof we have hereunto bought sett our hands and seales the first day of October anno

       Then came John Browne & John Otridge two of the wittnesses to the within writeing or Letter of
       Attorney & made Oath that they did see John Duddlestone and Thomas Duddlestone signe seale &
       deliver the said within writeing or Letter of Attorney as their severall acts and Deeds for the use
       within mentioned &c
