89 seale the sixteenth day of March in the second yeare of the Dominion of the right Hon.ble Charles &c over this Province Annoq Domi 1676/7 Sealed signed & delivered in the Sam.ll Leadbeater sealed p.rsence of W.m Hawton W.m Hatche Underneath the aforegoing letter or Attorney was thus written Viz.t January 22.th 1678 The above Letter of Attorney was proved by the Oaths of W.m Hawton & W.m Hatche wittnesses to the same before me Benj.a Rozer To all Christian people to whom these p.rsents shall come I Henry Stracy of London M.rchant send greeting Know ye that I the said Henry Stracy for & in consideracon of the sume of Fifty five pounds of good & lawfull money of England to me in hand att & before the ensealing & delivery hereof well & truely paid by William Vyner of Salisbury in the County of Wels Alderman the receipt whereof I doe hereby acknowledge & myselfe therewith fully satisfied contented & paid have Granted Aliened bargained sould & Confirmed & by these p.rsents doe fully cleerly & absolutely Grant bargaine sell & Confirme unto the said W.m Vyner of that Manno.r of Wolleley in Talbot County lying on the East side of Chessepiake bay & in the North side of a River in the said bay called Choptanck River begining att a marked Oak upon a point by a Marsh respecting an Indian Towne to the south East runing North upp the River for breadth five hundred perches to a marked Cedar tree upon a point bounding on the North by a line drawn West North West from the said Cedar for the length three hundred & twenty perches on the West by a line drawn South West from the end of the West North West line for breadth Five hundred perches on the South by a line drawn East South East from the end of the South West line unto the first marked Oak on the East by the said River containing by Estimacon One thousand acres more or lesse formerly in the tenure of Philip Calvert Esq.r in the Province aforesaid & by him Conveyed to Richard Preston Sen.r of Calvert County in the Province of Maryland & by him to the said Henry Stracy as by the Patent from the Lord Prop.ry of the said Province bearing date the Eighteenth day of January One thousand six hundred & Fifty nine & Endorsem.t thereon more att large appeareth To have & to hold the said Manno.r of Wolseley containing one thousand acres aforesaid to him the said W.m Vyner his heyres Exec.rs Adm.rs & assignes for ever Together with all rights profitts & benifitts thereunto belonging Royall Mines excepted In wittnes whereof the said Henry Stracy hath hereunto putt his hand & seale the twenty fourth day of September Anno Dom One thousand six hundred & seventy eight att London in the p.rsence of me Abraham De Smith Notary publick & tabellion Royall duely admitted & sworne by the authority of the Kings most excellent Ma.tie & receiveing within the said City London & in the p.rsence of the subscribed wittnesses was subscribed & sealed by Henry Stracy & wittnessed by Edmund Webb the marke of Charles Dickeson CD & slra Vanhoclith Geo Shaw & underneath't was wittnesseth by Abraham De Smith Notary pub &c These p.rsents were after examinacon with the originall hereof found to be a true authentick copy by us the subscribed publick Notary & wittnesses the twenty sixth day of September Ano Dom 1678 Edmond Webb the marke of Charles CD Dickeson quod attestor sub manu & sigillo mei offici locus sigilli Abraham DeSmith Notary publick On the backside of the aforegoing Conveyance was written viz.t I doe hereby Certifie that I have seen & examined the within copy of a Conveyance (from |
