       extraordinary questions to grant reprieves to the Offend.rs untill our Royall Peasette be knowne therin
       And wee doe by These p.rsents authorise and impower you to collate any pson or persons to any Churches
       Chapells or other Ecclesiasticall Benefices within of our Province and Territories aforesaid as often as any of
       them shall happen to be voyd And wee doe hereby give and Grant unto you the said Nathaniell Blackston
       by your selfe you Captaines and Comanders by you to be authorized full power and authority to Leavy arms
       master and comand ^& employ^ all psons whatsoever residing within our said Province and Teritory under your Governm.t
       and as occassion shall serve them to Transferr from one place to another for the Resisting and
       Withstanding all Enemies Piratts and Rebells both at sea and at Land and to Transport such forces to any
       of our Plantations in America as occassion shall require To pursue and prosecute in or out of the Limitts
       of y.e Land Province and Plantation or any of them And if it shall please God them to vanquish
       apprehend and take and being taken either according to the Law of Armes to putt to Death or keep and
       Preserve alive at your Discreassion and to execute martiall Law in Time of Invasion Insurection or
       Warre as also upon souldiers in pay and alsoe to doe and execute all and every Thing or Things w.ch to a
       Captaine Gen.ll doth or ought of Right to belong as fully and amply as any or Captain Gen.ll doth or
       hath usually done And wee doe hereby Give and Grant unto you full power and authority by and w.th y.e
       advice and consent of our councill in Maryland to erect Raise and build in our said Province and Territory
       such and soe many Forts Platforms Castles Citties Buroughes Towns and Fortifications as by y.e
       advice af.d shall be judged necessary and same or any of them to Fortifie and furnish w.th ordnance
       ammunition and all sorts of armes fitt and necessary for y.e securing and Defence of y.e said Province and by
       the advice aforesaid the same againe or any of them to Demolish Dismantle as may be most convenient
       And wee doe hereby Give and Grant unto you the said Nathaniell Blackston to erect one or more Court
       or Courts Admirall w.thin our said Province of Maryland for the hearing and Determining of all Mar &
       other Causes and matters therein properly therein to be heard with all reasonable and necessary power and
       authoritie fees and Priviledges as also toe excercise all power belonging to the Place and Office of Admirall of
       and in all the seas and costs about your Governm.t according to such comission authority and Instructions as
       you shall receive from us or from the high Admirall or Comiss.rs for executing y.e Office of high Admirall
       of our foraigne Plantacons for the time being And forasmuch as Divers mutinies and Disorders may happen
       by psons shipt or imployed at sea during the time of Warre And to y.e end that such as shall be shipped
       or employed at sea during the time of warre may be the better governed and ordered Wee doe hereby Give
       and Grant unto you the said Nathaniell Blackston full power and authoryty to appoint Captaines Leiutenants of
       of shipps and other comanders and officers and to Grant to such Captains Leiutenants Masters of Shipps and other Comanders
       and officers comissions to execute the Law martiall During the time of Warre and to use such proceedings
       authorities Punishments Corrections and Execution upon any offender or offenders which shall be mutinous
       seditious and Disorderly or any way unruly either at sea or during the time of theire residence or abode in
       any of the Ports Harbours or Citties of our said Province and Teritory as the cause shall require according to
       martiall Law during the time of Warre as af.d Provided that noething herein contained shall be construed to the
       enableing of you or any of your authorities to hold plea or have any jurisdiction of any Offence Cause matter or thing
       comitted or done upon the high sea or within any of the harbours Rivers or Creeks of the said Province or Teritory
       under your government by any Captain Comander Leiutenant Master or other Officer seaman souldier or pson
       whatsoever who shall be in martiall service and pay or any on board our Shipps of Warre or other vessells
       acting by imediate comission or warrant from the comissioners for executing the office of high admirall of
       England under the seale of the admiralty or from the high admirall of England for the Time being But that
