       as shall resort thereto and for the Benefitt of Us our heires and Successo.rs which said Laws Statutes and
       Ordinances are to be as Near as may be Agreeable to the Laws and Statutes of this our Kingdome of
       England Provided that all such Laws Statutes and Ordinances of what Nature or Duration soever be
       within three Months or Sooner after the makeing thereof Transmitted unto Us under Our Seale of Maryland
       for our Approbation or Disallowance of the same as alsoe Duplicates thereof by the Next Conveyance
       or if it shall happen that during this time of Warr Noe Shipping shall Come from our said Province
       within three Monthes after the makeing such Laws Statutes and Ordinances whereby the same may
       be Transmitted as afd that then the said Laws Statutes and Ordinances be Transmitted to Us by the
       Next Conveyance after the makeing thereof for our Approbation or Disallowance of the same And in Case
       any or all of them being not before Confirmed by Us shall at any time be disallowed and not approved and
       soe signifyed by us our heires and succeso.rs under our or theire signe Manuall and Signett or by ^ord.r of^ our or
       theire Privy Councill unto You the said Francis Nicholson or to the Commander in Cheife of our said Province
       for the time being then such and soe many of them as shall be soe Disallowed and not approved shall from
       thenceforth Cease Determine and become utterly voyd and of noe Effect anything to the Contrary thereof Not
       withstanding And to the End Nothing may be passed or done by our said Councell or Assembly to the prejudice
       of Us our heires or Successo.rs wee will and Ordaine that you the said Francis Nicholson have and Injoy
       a Negative voyce in the makeing and passing all Laws Statutes and Ordinances as afd and that you shall
       and may likewise from time to time as you shall judge it Necessary adjourne Borouge and Dissolve all
       Gen.ll Assemblys as afd And our Will and Pleasure is that you shall and may keep and use the Publick
       Seale appoynted or to be appoynted by us for our Province of Maryland And wee doe
       further Give and Grant unto you the said Francis Nicholson full power and authority from time to time
       and at any time hereafter by Yo.rself or by any other to be authorized by you in that behalf to administer
       and Give the Oathes appoynted by Act of Parliam.t to be taken instead of the Oathes of Allegiance Supremacy
       to all and Every such pson or persons as you shall think fitt who shall at any time or times pass into our
       said Province or shall be resident or abideing there Wee doe further Give and Grant unto you full and
       Authority with the advice and Consent of our said Councill to Erect Constitute and Appoynt and Establish such
       and soe Many Courts of Judicature and Publick Justice within our Province and Territory under Yo.r Govern.t
       as you and they shall think fitt and Necessary for the hearing and Determineing of all Causes as well Criminall
       as Civill According to Law and Equity and for Awarding Execution thereupon With all reasonable
       and Necessary Powers Authoritys Fees Priviledges belonging unto them as allsoe to appoynt and Commissionate
       fitt p.rsons in the severall parts of Yo.r Governm.t to administer the Oathes appoynted by Act of
       Parliam.t to be taken instead of the Oathes of Allegiance and Supremacy and the Test unto such as
       shall be Obliged to take the same And Wee doe hereby Authorize and Impower you to Constitute and
       appoynt Judges Justices of the Peace and other Necessary Officers and ministers in our said Province for the
       better Administration of Justice and putting the Laws in Executtion and to administer to them such Oath
       or Oathes as are usually Given for the due Execution and Pformance of Officers and places And for the
       clearing of Truth in Judiciall Causes Wee doe further by these p.rsents will and require you to pmitt
       Appeales to be made in Cases of Erro.r from our Courts in Maryland unto our Gov.r and Councill in [illegible]
