       Causes Provided the Value Appealed for doe Exceed the sum of One hundred pounds sterling and that security
       be first duely Given by the Appellant to Answer such Charges as shall be Awarded in Case the first sentence
       shall be Affirmed And whereas Wee Judge it Necessary that all our subjects may have Libertye to appeale unto
       us in Case that may require the same Our Will and Pleasure is that if either party shall ud rest satisfyed
       with the Judgemt or scentence of our Gov.r or Councill they may then Appeale unto us in our Privy Councill
       Provided the Matter in Difference Exceed the Reall Value and Sum of three hundred pounds sterling and that
       such Appeale be made within one Fortnight after scentence and that security be likewise duly Given by the Appellant  
       to Answer such Charges as shall be Awarded in Case the Sentence of the Gov.r and Councill be Confirmed
       and provided allsoe that Execution be not suspended by reason of any such Appeale unto us and Wee doe hereby
       Give and Grant unto you full Power and Authority where you shall Judge any Offendor or Offenders or for any
       fines and forfeitures due unto us fitt Objects of our Mercy to Pardon and Remitt all such Offences fines or
       forfeitures before or after scentence Given (Treason and Willfull Murther only Excepted) In which Cases you shall like
       wise have Power upon Extraordinary Occasions to Grant Repreives to the Offendors untill our Royall pleasure may
       be knowne therein And we doe by these p.rsents Authorize and Impower you to Colate any pson or psons in any Churches
       Chappells or any Ecclesiasticall Benefices within our Province and Territory afd as often as any of them shall hapen
       to be voyd And wee doe hreby Give and Grant unto You the said Francis Nicholson by Yo.rself Yo.r Captaines and
       Commanders by you to be Authorized full Power and Authority to Leavy Arme Muster and Command and Employ
       all psons whatsoever resideing within our said Province and Territory under Yo.r Governm.t as occassion shall serve
       them to transfer from one place another for the resisting and withstanding of all Enemyes Pyrates and Rebells
       both at sea and at Land and to Transport such forces to any of our Plantations in America as Occassion
       shall require for the Defence of the same against the Invasion or Attempt of any of our Enemyes and such
       Enemyes Pyratts and Rebells if Occassion shall require to psue and posecute in or out of the limitts of our
       said Province and Plantations or any of them and if it shall please God them to vanquish apprehend and take
       and being taken either According to the Law of Armes to put to Death or keep and p.rserve alive at Your        
       descretion and to Execute Martiall Law in time of Invassion Insurrection or Warr as allso upon soldiers in
       pay and to doe and Execute all and every other thing or things which to a Captaine Genrall doth or ought of
       Right to belong as fully and amply as any our Capt Gen.ll doth or hath usually doe And Wee doe hereby Give
       and Grant unto you full Power and Authority to Erect Raise and Build in our Province and Territory afd such and soe
       many Forts Platformes Castles Cittyes Burroughs Townes and Fortifications as you by the advice afd shall Judge
       Necessary and the same or any of them to fortifye and furnish with Ordinance Ammunition and all sorts of
       Armes fitt and Necessary for the Security and Defence of our said Province and forasmuch as divers Mutinyes
       and deserders doe happen by Psons shipped and employd at sea and to the end such as shall be shipped or employd
       at sea may be the better Governed and Ordred Wee doe hereby Give and Grant unto you the said Francis Nicholson
       our Captaine Generall and Governo.r in Cheife full Power and Authority to Constitute and Appoynt Captaines
       Leiuetenants Masters of ships and other Commanders and to Grant to such Captaines Leiuetenants Masters of
       ships and other Commanders Commissions to Execute the Law Martiall and to use such proceedings authorityes
       punishment Correction and Execution upon any Offender or Offenders [illegible] sediticus
