825) 846 Maryland fs Know all men by these p.rsents that Wee Daniell Peirce of Cecil County in the Province afd Gent and William Peirce Senior are holden and firmly bound unto his Ex.cy Francis Nicholson Esq his Majestyes Cap.t Gen.ll and Cheife Gov.r of this Province in the full and just sum of One thousand pounds of Lawfull Money of England to be paid to the said Francis Nicholson Esq.r his Ex.rs Adm.rs or assignes To the which payment well and Truly to be made wee bind ourselfs either of us and either of our heires Ex.rs and Adm.rs joyntly and severally for the whole and in the whole firmly by these p.rsents Wittness our hands and seales this 8.th day of March 1695/6 The Condition of this Obligation is such that whereas his Ex.cy Francis Nicholson Esq.r afd hath Commissionated and appoynted the said Daniell Peirce to be riding surveyo.r of Cecill County and the Countys thereunto adjacent within the said Province by his Commission bearing date the 5.th day of March 1695 Now if the said Daniell Peirce shall well and truly pforme the said Office according to the severall acts of Parliament and Laws of this Province unto which by his said Commission here referrd to be Guided by us allso shall observe and follow all such directions & Instructions as from time to time he shall receive from the said Francis Nicholson Esq.r and from time to time keep harmless the said Francis Nicholson Esq.r from all Damages loss and Charges that he the said Francis Nicholson Esq.r shall sustaine at any time by reason of the said Peirce non pformance fo his said Office soe long as he shall Enjoy the same as in the severall Laws is Enacted and Ordained then the above Obligation to be voyd and of None Effect otherwise to be and Remaine in full force and virtue Sealed and Deliverd in P.rsence of Daniell Peirce (seal) James Frisby William Peirce (seal) Sarah Frisby Junior I Daniell Peirce doe declare that there is not any Transubstantiation in the sacrament of the Lords Supper or in the Elements of Bread and Wine at or after the Consecration thereof by any pson whatsoever Daniell Peirce Recorded Aug.t 23.d 1698 p Chr Gregory Clk Know all men by these p.rsents that wee William Wyvill Edward Dorsey and Charles Carroll of the Port of Annapolis Gent are hereby holden and firmly bounden unto our Sovereigne Lord King William the third &c in the full and just sum of five hundred pounds sterling to be paid to our Sovereigne Lord King William &c his heires and Successors to true payment whereof wee bind out selfs our heires Ex.rs and Adm.rs and Every of them severally and joyntly for the whole and in the whole joyntly by these p.rsents sealed and dated at the Port of Annapolis this four and twentieth day of December 1697 The Condition of this Obligation is such that whereas the above bounden William Wyvill is by the Honble Edward Ridout Esq.r Surveyo.r Gen.ll of his Maj.tyes Customes on the Continent of America and Islands adjacent appoynted and Deputed to be Riding surveyo.r not only in the Rivers of Bolemich and Sassafras but allso on the heads of all the Rivers on the Eastern Shore unto Susquehanah River If he the said William Wyvill shall well and faithfully Execute and discharge the said Office and observe and psue all such ord.rs and instructions as he shall from time to time receive from the Hon.ble the Cmm.rs of his Maj.tyes Customes at the Custome house in London in the Kingdome of England or from the Com.rs of his Maj.tys Customes and from his Maj.tys Gov.r of Maryland for the time being and from the Surveyo.r Gen.ll of his Maj.tyes Customes of the Contenent of America and Islands adjacent and in all things relating to his said office honestly and faithfully demeane himself that then this obligation to be voyd otherwise in full force & virtue Signed Sealed and Deliverd in p.rsence of W.m Wyvill (seal) Thomas Laurence Hen Denton Edward Dorsey (seal) Recorded Aug.t 23.d 1698 p Charles Carroll (seal) Chr Gregory Clk |
