839 (819 Shipped by the grace of God in good order and well conditioned by M.r George Lingan of Petuxent on acco.t and Risque of S.r Thomas Lawrence in & upon the good ship called the Preservation whereof is master under God for this P.rsent voyage Cap.t Thomas Emmes and now Riding at Anchor in the N.o 19 River of Petuxen and by Gods grace bound for London to say one hh.d of Maryland Leafe Tob.o marked L W and numbred as in the margin and are to be Delivered in the like good ord and well Condiconed at the afd Porte of London the Danger of the seas only Excepted unto Micajah Perry Mercht in London or his Assignes he or they paying Freight for y.e s.d Goods at y.e Rate of seaven pounds p Tunn & Maryland Dutys with primage and avarage accustomed In wittness whereof the master or purser of the said Ship hath affirmed to three bills of Lading all of this tenor and Date the one of which three bills being accomplished the other two to stand voyd and soe God send the good Ship to her desired Porte in Saftey Amen Dated in Maryland y.e 25 July 1698 rec.d p Thomas Emmes Maryland fs Know all men by these p.rsents that I George Muschamp of S.t Maryes County Esq.r doe owe and stand indebted unto our Soveraigne Lord King William the third &c.a in the full & just sume of one hundred and fifty pounds sterl money of England and wee Phillip Clarke and Thomas Waughop of the s.d County Gent.n in the Like sume of one hundred and fifty pounds ster Each the which payments well and truly to be made to our s.d Soveraigne Lord the King his heires and successo.rs Wee bind out selves and each of us our and every of our heires Ex.rs and Adm.rs Joyntly and Severally firmly by these p.rsents as wittness our hands and seales this 26.th Day of September in the eight year of his Majtys Reigne &c.a Annq Dom 1696 The Condicon of the above obligacon is such that whereas the above bound George Muschamp Esq.r by his matys Royall Comission bearing Date the Eight Day of Octob.r Annoq Domini 1695 Constituted and Appointed reciever of his Matys Revenue raised or to be Raised for the support of Government w.th in the Precinct of the river of Potomack &c.a As by recourse to the s.d Comission being had more fully and At Large doth Appear Now if the said George Muschamp Shall and Doe in all things well and faithfully discharge and performe that trust as by the said Comission is reposed in him as also produce ^& render^ before his Ex.cy in Councill A true and pfect acco.t (twice every year) of all sume and sums of money or otherwise as shall by him be collected for the use of his Maj.tie within the District or p.rsinct afores.d from time to time and accordingly make oath to the same during the Continuance of his said Comission then this p.rsent obligacon to be voyd and of None Effect otherwise to stand and Remain in full force power & virtue Those words (& Render) in the 21.th George Muschamp (sealed) Signed Sealed & Delivered in Line were interlines before the Phillip Clark (sealed) the p.rsence of us Ensealing and Delivery of this Thomas Waughop (sealed) Thomas Lawrence bond Geo Robotham David Browne Maryland fs Know all men by these p.rsents that we George Plater and Thomas Tench of the Province of Maryland Esq.rs are held and firmly bound unto their Matys King W.m and Queen Mary in the full and just sume of Two thousand pounds of good and Lawfull Money of England to be paid to them their heires or successors; to the which payment well and Truly to be made and done wee bind us and Either of Us our & Either of our heires Ex.rs and Adm.rs Joyntly and Severally for the whole and in the whole in the sume afores.d sealed w.th our seales Dated the Seavent Day of October Annoq Domi 1693 The Condicon of this obligacon is such that whereas the above the above bound George Plater is Nominated and apointed Navall Officer for the Port of Petuxent in the Province afores.d Now if the above bound George Plater performe and Discharge the Trust reposed in him and render a just and true account of all Moneys Dues or other Duties by him Collected and recieved or to be Collected and recieved as Navall Officer to such pson or psons qualifyed to Demand the same ^when required^ Then the above obligacon to be voyd or else to stand remaine and be in full force and virtue Sealed and Delivered the words (when required) interlined George Plater (sealed) in p.rsence of Us before the Ensealing & Delivery Thomas Tench (sealed) Jn.o Addison W.m Dent |
