       possessed and enjoy the bargained premisses with the appurtenances & have
       receive and take the Rents Issues and proffitts thereof to his & their
       own proper use and behoofe without any Manner of Lawfull or other Less
       barr Mollestatcon or hindrence whatsoever of him the s.d William Leeds
       or his heirs Ex.rs or Adm.rs or any other person or persons whatsoever And that
       the bargained premisses with the appurtenances shall from hence forth Remaine
       Continue and bee unto him the s.d Hugh Sherwood his heirs & Assignes
       Saved Defended and Kept Harmless by him the s.d William Leeds & his
       heirs of and from all former or other surveys gifts grants bargaines
       seales and of and from all other titles Charges or Incumbrances
       whatsoever and the s.d William Leeds for himselfe his heirs Ex.rs
       Adm.rs and for every of them Doth Covenant Grant & Agree to & with y.e
       said Hugh Sherwood his heirs & Assignes And to & with every of them
       in Manner and forme followeing (that is to say) that the s.d
       William Leeds & his heirs the s.d Devident of Land & premisses hereby
       Granted bargained and sold with y.e appurtenances to him y.e s.d Hugh
       Sherwood his heirs and Assignes to the only proper use and behoofe
       of the s.d Hugh Sherwood his heirs and Assignes for ever against him
       the s.d William Leeds and his heirs & against all & every other
       person & ^or^ persons shall & will warrant & for ever Defend by the
       And that y.e s.d William Leeds & his heirs shall & will at any time
       hereafter and at y.e request & at the Costs and Charges in y.e Law of
       the said Hugh Sherwood his heirs or Assignes Make or Cause to be
       Made and Executed such further Lawfull and Reasonable Assurance in
       the Law of the p.rmisses to him the s.d Hugh Sherwood his heirs or
       Assignes or his or their Councill Learned Learned in the Law shall advise
       In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have interchangably sett
       their hands and Affixed their seales the Day & yeare above
       written

       Know all men by these p.rsents that I W.m Leeds of Talbot County in y.e
       province of Maryland planter hath have Nominated ordained Constituted
       and appointed as alsoe by these presents I Doe Nominate ordaine
       Constitute and appoint my well beloved friend Lawrence Knowles of
       Talbot County afd to be my true and Lawfull Attorney for me & in
       my Name to appeare before the Justices of the provinciall Court
       at the Next Court Insueing the Date hereof And there before y.e
       said Justices to Acknowledge A Certaine Deed of sale of three hundred
       Acres of Land (being part of twelve hundred Acres of Land Called
                                                                                              Huckingham)
