786 (767 Whereas Edward Loyd late of Talbot County Gent by his Certaine Deed pole und.r his hand and seale beareing date y.e Eleaventh day of June in the yeare of our Lord 1668 Did give and grant to John the Eldest son of John Watkins William the Eldest son of William Leeds Samuel the Eldest son of William Taylor and William the Eldest sonn of W.m Hambleton A Certaine parcell or Tract of Land out of Swan Island Devident Called Huckinham Cont twelve hundred Acres of Land scituate Lyeing & being in Kent County to be Equally Devided between the said Grantees as in and by y.e s.d Deed Relacon being thereunto had the same Doth any may more Largly appeare Now this Indenture Wittnesseth that the s.d William Leeds for and in Consideracon of the sum of twenty thousand pounds of good sound merchantable tobaccoe in Cask to him well and suffitienly paid by the said Hugh Sherwood the Receipt whereof he Doth hereby Acknowledge & Confess and himselfe to be therewith fully Contented satisfied and paid & thereof & of every part thereof Doth hereby Exonorate Release acquit & for Ever Discharge the said Hugh Sherwood his heirs Ex.rs or Adm.rs & Every of them by these presents have given granted bargained sold Aliened Released Enfeoffed and Confirmed as Likewise by these presents Doth fully freely and absolutely give grant bargaine sell Alien Release Enfeoff and Confirme unto him the said Hugh Sherwood all that his the s.d William Leeds his part or devident of the s.d Tract of Land Called Huckingham together with all woods Wood Grounds trees and timber and the ground & soyle of all those woods and wood Grounds in or upon the s.d Devident or part of the s.d Tract of Land and all & singular Rights Benifitts priviledges and Advantages to the s.d Devident belonging or in any wise appertaineing the s.d part or Devident Containeing by Estimacon three hundred Acres of Land and all the Estate Right title propartie use possession Claime or Demand of him the said William Leeds and his heirs of in or unto the s.d Bargained premisses with the appurtenances & the Reversion & Reversions Remaind.r and Remaind.rs of all and singular the before hereby granted premisses with the appurtenances to have & to hold the s.d part or Devident of Land Containeing by Estimacon three hundred Acres of Land & p.rmisses with the appurtenances to him the said Hugh Sherwood his heirs and Assignes to the only propar use & Behoofe of the s.d Hugh Sherwood his heirs and Assignes for Ever & y.e said William Leeds for himselfe his heirs Ex.rs & Administrato.rs & for Each of them Doe Covenant grant and agree to & with the s.d Hugh Sherwood his heirs and Assignes & to & with Every of them in Manno.r and form followeing thats to say it shall & may be Lawfull to and for the s.d Hugh Sherwood his heirs and Assignes from time to time and at all times for Ever hereafter to have hold use possess |
