687) 697 said great seale bearing date the last day of February Anno Dom 1663 for the Consideration therein mentioned did grant unto the said William Coursey his heires and Assignes a parcell of land lying on the Eastern shore and on the North side of a river called S.t Michaells river beginning at the North bound Chestnutt tree of the Land formerly laid out for John Russell and standing by a Creek called Russells Creeke and running for breadth East by the said Russells bounded line one hundred perches till it come into Wye River and running up the said river for length three hundred Forty and five perches to a marked oake tree standing by a point with a line drawne west from the s.d oake tree one hundred perches to the head of a branch of Russells Creeke on the west with the said Creeke on the south with the Land formerly laid out for John Russell on the East with wye river on the north with the said line Conteyning and then laid out for two hundred and Fifty acres more or less Together with all profitts rights and benefitts thereunto belonging (Royall mines excepted) To hold the same to him the said William Coursey and his heires for ever And whereas the said William Coursey by his Indenture of bargaine and sale bearing date the aforesaid second day of June 1673 For the Considerations therein mentioned Did give grant bargain sell assigne and sett over unto the said Henry Beedle and his heires all that the last mentioned parcell of land then laid out For two hundred and fifty acres more or less with the apptenances To hold to him the said Henry Beedle his heires and Assignes for ever By such rents and services as in and by the patent thereof is mentioned and reserved soe that the whole Estate interest and inheritance of both the said tracts of Land conteyning together Five hundred acres be the same more or lesse adjoyning the one to the other lying in Talbott County aforesaid became the eight of him the said Henry Beedle deceased and from him to be the inheritance of his sole and onely daughter Sophia as afore is mentioned and sett forth Now this Indenture further wittnesseth That for and in consideration of the sume of two hundred and twenty pounds sterling mony of England to them the said Ignatius Craycroft and Sophia his wife or one of them in hand paid or secured to be paid at and before the ensealing hereof by the said Peter Sayer their heires Executors and Adm.rs The receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge accordingly and themselves ^thereof^ & therewith fully satisfyed and thereof and every part thereof doe clearly acquitt exonerate and discharge the said Peter Sayer his heirs Execut.rs and Adm.rs and every of them by these presents They the said Ignatius Craycroft and Sophia his wife have granted bargained sold aliened enffeoffed and confirmed and by these presents Doe fully clearly and absolutely Graunt bargaine sell alien enffeoffe and confirme unto the said Peter Sayer and his heires All those the aforesaid Two tracts of Land and every part and parcell of them and every of them Conteyning together Five hundred acres be the same more or lesse butted and bounded as aforesaid And all Messuages tenements houses outhouses buildings barnes stables orchards gardens Lands wast Lands woods underwoods timber and timber trees wayes easements profitts Comodityes and appurtenances to the same or either of them belonging or in any wayes appertaining and all the Estate right title Interest use possession property clayme and demand of him the said Ignatius Craycroft and Sophia his wife or either of them of in and to the premisses or of in or to any part or parcell thereof And all Deeds writtings evidences patents Charters escripts & muniments touching or concerning the p.rmisses And the revertion and revertions remainder and remainders of the same To have and to hold (the |
