       Lewis of the same County and Province aforesaid Planter of the other
       part Witnesseth that the said John Howe for and in Consideration
       of the sume of seaventeen thousande pounds of Tobacco to him the said John
       Howe in hand well and truely paid and secured to be paid by the said Mathew
       Lewis before the ensealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof the said John
       Howe doth hereby acknowledge and himselfe to be therewith fully satisfyed and
       paid and thereof and of every part and parcell doth hereby acquit exonerate
       and discharge the said Mathew Lewis his heirs Executors and Adm.rs and every
       of them by these presents hath given granted aliened bargained sold Enfeoffed
       and Confirmed and by these presents doth give grant alien bargaine sell
       Enfeoffe and Confirm unto the said Mathew Lewis his heires and Assignes for
       ever All that Tract or parcell of Land called Powicks Ridge Lyeing in Talbot
       County one the North side of Choptanck River upon a Ridge at the head of a
       Creek called Bulling Brooke beginning at a marked oake being a bounded tree
       of the Land layd out for Andrew Skinner and running for breadth North North
       East four hundred perches to a marked Oake bounded on the North by a Lyne drawn
       West North West from the said Oake foure hundred perches on the West to a Line
       drawne South South West from the End of the North North west Lyne foure hundred
       perches from the south by a line drawne ^East^ South south Eeast from the End of the south
       South West line seaven hundred pearches unto the first marked oake on the East by the
       first North North East line Conteining and formerly laid out for one thousand acres
       more or less Togeather with all Messuages Tennements dwelling houses Edifices buildings
       barnes stables orchards gardens and outletts to the said Tract or parcell of Land belonging
       or in any wise appertayning and all timber and timber trees ways passages Woods underwoods
       Fences rents easements Comoditys hereditaments and appurtenances to the
       said Tract or parcell of Land belonging or in anywise appertayning and the reversion
       and reversions remainder and remainders rents Issues and profitts whatsoever
       of all and singular the aforementioned premisses with their and every of their
       appurtenances and every part and parcell thereof Togeather with all deeds
       Evidences writings Escripts Pattents and muniments whatsoever touching or
       concerning the abovesaid p.rmisses with their and every of their appurtenances as
       aforesaid To have and to hold the said Pcell of Land and p.rmisses with
       their and every of their appurtenances and every part and parcell thereof
       unto the said Mathew Lewis his heires and Assignes for ever To the onely
       proper use and behoofe of the said Mathew Lewis his heires and Assignes
       for ever And the said John Howe for himselfe his heires Executo.rs and
       Adm.rs doth Covenant promise and graunt to and with the said Mathew
       Lewis his heires Executors Adm.rs and Assignes and to and with every of
       them by these presents that he the said John Howe his heires Executors and
       Administrators All and singular the said parcell of Land before mentioned
       to be hereby bargained premisses with their appurtenances and every part and
       parcell thereof unto the said Mathew Lewis his heires and Assignes to and
       for his and their owne proper use and behoofe as aforesaid against him the
       said John Howe his heires Executo.rs and Adm.rs and from and against all
       other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and for ever
       defend by these presents And alsoe the said John Howe for himselfe his heires
       Executo.rs Adm.rs and assignes doth Covenant promise and graunt to and
       with the said Mathew Lewis his heires and assignes by these presents in
       manner and forme following that is to say that the said John Howe the fay
       of the date hereof and at the ensealing and delivery of these presents id and
       standeth and be untill the first Execution of an Estate of and in all and
       singular the p.rmisses unto the said Mathew Lewis his heirs and Assignes
       according to the true intent & meaning of these presents shall stand and be
