       Right honn.ble the Lord Proprietary under the great Seale of the Province assigned and authorized
       att the speciall instance and request and suplicacon of Richard Windall Maryner late Comander
       of the ship Leverpoole Merchant a certain informacon against him the said Richard Windall the
       tenor of which Informacon followeth in these words
                                           To the Justices of the said Court

Maryland fs Bee it Remembred that the Eighteenth day of March one Thousand six hundred seventy seven
       came here into Court Christopher Rousby Collector who as well for the Lord the King and the
       Governour of Maryland as for himselfe in this behalf followeth in his Proper person And as well for
       the said Lord the King the Said Governour as for himselfe giveth the Court here to understand and be
       informed that whereas in the Statute made in the Parliament of our said Soveraign Lord the King of
       England &.ca in the fifteenth yeare of the reign att Westminster in the County of Midlesex in the same Kingdom
       of England amongst other things itt was Enacted by Authority of the same Parliament that from and after
       the Twenty fifth day of March one Thousand six hundred sixty four noe Comodity of the groath Production
       or manufacture of Europe should be imported into any land Island Plantacon Colony Teritory or place to his
       said Ma.tie Belonging or which should thereafter belong unto or be in the possession of his Ma.tie his heyrs
       and successours in Asia Africa or America (Tangeir only Excepted) but what shalbe bona fide and without
       fraud laden & shipped in England Wales or the Towne of Berwick upon Tweed and in English built shipping
       or which were bona fide bought before the first day of October one Thousand six hundred sixty Two
       and had such Certificate thereof as was directed in one Act Entituled an Act ^for^ preventing of frauds and
       Regulateing abuses in his ma.ties Customes & whereof the master and three fourths of the Mariners att least were
       English And which should be Carryed directly thence to the said lands Islands Plantacons Colonyes
       Territoryes or places and from noe other place or places whatsoever any law statute or usage to the
       Contrary notwithstanding under the penalty of the lesse of all such Comodityes of the groath Production
       or manufacture of Europe as should be imported into any of them from any other place whatsoever by land
       or water and if by water of the ship or vessell in which they were imported with all her Gunns tackle
       furniture Amunicon and apparell and Third part to his said Ma.tie his heyres and successours one
       Third part to the Governour of such land Island Plantacon Colony Territory or place into which
       such goods were imported if the said ship vessell or goods be there seized and informed against and
       sued for or otherwise that Third part alsoe to his Ma.tie his heyres his heyres and successors and the other third
       part to him or them who should seize informe and sue for the same many of his ma.tie Courts in such the
       said Lands Islands Colonyes Plantacons Territoryes or places where the offence was Comitted or in any
       Court of Record in England by bill informacon plaint or other Action wherein no Essoyne protection or
       wager of Law should be allowed And further that whereas in the same statute made att the tyme and
       place aforesaid itt was Enacted for the better Prevencon of fraud that from and after the said Twenty
       fifth day of March one Thousand six hundred sixty four every person importing by land any goods or
       Comodityes whatsoever into any the said lands Islands Plantacons Collonyes Territoryes or places should
       deliver to the Governour of Such land Island Plantacon Collony Territory or place or to such person or officer
       as should be by him thereunto Authorized and appointed within four & Twenty hours after such importacon
       his and their names & surnames and a true inventory or particular of all such goods or Comodityes And no
       shipp or vessell comeing to any such land Island Plantacon Collony Territory or place should lade or inlade
       any goods or Comodityes whatsoever untill the master or Comander of such ship or vessell should first have
       made known to the Governour of such land Island Plantacon Collony Territory or place or to such person or
       officer as should be by him thereunto authorized & appointed the Arriveall of the said ship or vessell with her name
       and the name and surname of her master or Comander and had shewn to him that she was an English built
       ship or made good by produceing such Certificate as aforesaid that she was a ship or vessell bona fide belonging
       to England Wales or the Town of Berwick & Navigated with an English master and Three fourths of the
       Mariners are least English men And had delivered to such Governour or other person or officer a true and
       perfect Inventory or Invoice of her loading together w.th the Place or places in which the said goods were
       laden or taken into the s.d shipp or vessell under the payne of the Losse of the ship or vessell w.th all her Gunns
       amunicon tackle furniture & apparell And of all such goods of the growth Production or manufacture of
       Europe as were not Bona fide laden and taken in in England Wales or the Towne of Berwick
