462 (452 This Indenture made the seaventeenth Day of September in the Twelfth Year of the Dominion of the Right Hon.ble Charles Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Barron of Baltemore &c Annoq Dom One Thousand Six Hundred Eighty seaven Betweene Hugh Manuing of S.t Maries County in the Province of Maryland & Elizabeth his wife on the One Part & Charles Calvert of y.e County & Province aforesaid Gent on the other Part Witnesseth that the said Hugh Manuing and Elizabeth his Wife for and in Consideration of a Certein Grant or sale made to them by the said Charles Calvert for two Hundred Acres of Land lyeing in S.t Maries County at a Place Called the Lower End of the Towne butted and bounded according to the severall Courses in the said Deed of Sale Mentioned as by the said Deed of sale more plainly & large it doth and may appar bearing date with these presents As alsoe for Divers other good Causes and Considerations them thereunto moveing doth hereby Bargaine Grant Assigne sell transferr Enfeoffe & Confirme unto him the said Charles Calvert all that plantacon called or knowne by the Name of Hugh Manuings Hold being the moiety of a Devident or tract of Land of two Hundred Acres called Harry James Neck formerly Bargained and sold by William Calvert Esq.r Deceased unto One Daniell Devine & him the said Hugh Manuing their Heirs and Assignes forever To have and to hold the said Plantation or Moiety of the said Tract of Land together with all Rights members and Appurtenances to the same belonging to him the said Charles Calvert his Heirs and Assignes for ever And to the only proper Use and Behoofe of him the said Charles Calvert his Heirs and Assignes for ever And the said Hugh Manuing & Elizabeth his Wife for themselves their Heirs Executors Administrators Doe Covenant and agree to & with y.e said Charles Calvert ^&^ his Heirs or Assignes for ever That they the said Hugh & Elizabeth his Wife the said tract of Land with the Appurtenances to him the said Charles Calvert his Heirs or Assignes for ever against all Person or Persons whatsoever will forever Warrant & Defend by these presents The Rents & Services hereafter to become due & payable unto y.e Right Hon.ble the Lord proprietary his Heirs or Successors for the Fee of the p.rmisses Only Excepted and foreprised In Testimony whereof the said Hugh Manuing and Elizabeth his wife have hereunto sett their Hands and seales the Day and year aforesaid his Sealed & Delivered Hugh + Manuing in the Presence of Mark Richard Smith Junio.r her Edward Boothby Eliza E Manuing Written on y.e back Memorandum Mark side That secretly Examined out of the hearing of her Husband Doth Confesse that she doth freely give up all her Right Title Clayme and Demand whatsoever to the within Named Plantation or Mojety of Land & premisses without the fear or threats of her said Husband And the said Hugh Manuing & his wife doe both Acknowledge the same to be their Act and Deed to the within Named Charles Calvert In Witnesse whereof wee have hereunto sett Our Hands this Day of Sept.r Annoq Domini 1687 Reco.d March the 2.d 1687 Vincent Lowe W.m Digges p R Tull Clk This Indenture made the seavetith day of June In the yeare of Our Lord One thousand six hundred Eighty and seaven And in the Twelfth yeare of the Dominion of the Right Hon.ble Charles Absolute Lord and Prop.ry of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c Betweene George Talbot of Castleroory in the County of Roscoman in the Kingdome of Ireland Esquire now Resident in Marÿland and Sarah his wife on the one part and Philip Lynes of S.t Maries County in the Province aforesaid Merchant on the other part Whereas the said Charles Lord Baron of Baltemore by his Letters Pattents under the Greate seale of the said Province of Maryland bearing date the six and twentieth day of Aprill Annoq Domini 1683 for y.e Consideration therein Mentioned did give and graunt unto the said George Talbot All that tract or parcell of Land called Bellaconell lying in Cæcill County aforesaid Begining at a bounded Poplar stand on the East side of Elke River above Delaware Road being the upermost bounded tree of a parcell |
