451) 461 and Confirme unto the said Henry Darnell as Guardian of Richard Calvert aforesaid during his the said Richard Calvert Nonage to him his Heirs and Assignes for ever All that Parcell of Land situating Lying & being in S.t Michaells Hund^e^red in S.t Maries County aforesaid Commonly Called & knowne by the Name of Lanckford Begining and Bounding upon y.e Line trees of M.r Thomas Jackson and then Runing by his Creeke side and Bounding upon Potomake River and then Runing up Henry Jameses Creeke to y.e Head of it to ^a^ Hill Called Lanckfords Hill and then Runing straight upon a line to y.e mayne Road Called y.e Ridge Road and Bounding as y.e Road Runs unto Thomas Jacksons bound tree with all its Rights Jurisdictions and Appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any manner of waÿs Appertaining Containing by Estimation four Hundered Acres of Land bee the same more or Lesse Together withall and singular the Houses Edifices Buildings Barnes Orchards Guardins Marshes Medows Pastures feedings Woods Underwoods profits Comodities and Appurtenances whatsoever to the same tract of Land Called Lanckford thereunto belonging or in any waÿs Appertaining And all his the said Charles Calvert Right Title Interest Property Clayme & demand of in and to the same or any part thereof To Have and to Hold the said tract or parcell of Land aforesaid with its Rights and every of its Appurtenances to him the said Henry Darnell as aforesaid to the Proper use and behoofe of the said Richard Calvert his heirs & Assignes for Ever and to no other use Intent or purpos whatsoever And y.e said Charles Calvert doth for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators the said Lands and Premises aforesaid with the Appurtenances to him the said Henry Darnell Guardian as aforesaid of the said Richard Calvert to him and his Heirs to the uses Intents & Purposes aforesaid shall & will for ever warrant and defend by thees Presents And that hee the said Charles Calvert & his Heirs shall & will at any time within five years after that the said Richard Calvert shall Attaine to the Age of one & twenty years att the Proper Costs and Charges in the Law of him y.e said Richard Calvert doe make or Executor Cause to bee made done or Executed such other and further Lawfull Act & Acts thing and things device and Conveyance in the Law for the better and more suer making setling and Establishing the said tract or Parcell of Land and p.rmisses with its Appurtenances upon him the said Richard Calvert his Heirs and Assignes for ever as by the Councell of the sayd Richard Calvert shall bee Reasonably Required and Advised or devised Provided Nevertheless that it is the trew Intent and meaning of y.e Parties to these Presents that from and after y.e Commencements of the use aforesaid to the said Richard Calvert as aforesaid there shall bee Payd to y.e said Charles Calvert & his Heirs Executors Administrators or Assignes by the said Richard Calvert (after hee shall attaine to y.e Age of one and twentie years his Heirs Executors Administrators or Assignes the yearly Rents for ever of good and Lawfull Money of England in silver or Gould the full and Just sume of Eight shillings or y.e full value thereof in such Commoditie or ^Commodities^ as hee the said Charles Calvert his Heirs Executors Administrators or Assignes shall Accept in discharge thereof In Testimony whereof the Parties above Mentioned have hereunto set their hands & fixed their seales the day and year above sp^e^cified Signed Sealed & delivered Charles Calvert (sealed In the Presence of us J Brouye John Powell written on the back side Recd of Henry Darnall Esq.r for Alienation of the within mentioned Land & p.rmisses the sume of Eight shillings sterl Money of England ^being^ pd as Guardian & in the Name of the within Named Richard Calvert I say recd this 24.th day of Septemb.r 1687 September y.e 24 1687 The Alienation G Vansweringen Sher.f This day came here into Court Charles Calvert gent and Acknowledged the within writeing to bee his Act & deed and thereby y.e within Mentioned tract & parcell of Land & p.rmisses to bee the Right of the said Richard Calvert gent and for y.e better Confirming and Assureance thereof Vested in & settled Upon y.e said Henry Dernall Esquire as Next freind & Guardian to the said 9 sides Richard Calvert his his Heirs & Assignes forever to and for the proper use & behoof of the s.d Rich.d Calvert his Heirs and Assignes for ever Taken and Acknowledged in Open Court the day & year above Written Reco.d March y.e 2.d 1687 Edw Boothby Cler Cur provlis p R Tull Clk |
