444 (434 This Indenture Made the twentieth day of September in the tenth year of the Dominion of the Right hono.ble Charles absolute Lord & Proprietarÿ off the Provinces of Marÿland & Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c and in the Year of our Lord God one thousand six hundred Eightÿ and five Betweene Thomas Pemberton of Sommersett Countÿ in the Province of Marÿland M.rchant And Elizabeth his wife of the one Partÿ and Richard Stevens of the said County & Province of the other Partÿ Wittnesseth that whereas the said Lord Baltemore by his deed of Grant Under the Great seale used in the said province of Maryland for Grannting of Lands there did Grant unto Thomas Pemberton Bÿ the Name of Thomas Pemberton of Sommesett Countÿ & Province of Marÿland All that tract parcell or devident of land Called Fairefeild by vertue off a Speciall Warrant bearing date the seaventeenth daÿ of November in the seaventh Year of the Dominion of the Right hono.ble Charles &c annoq.r Dim 1682 Granted outt of the office for Lands unto the above said Thomas Pemberton off Sommesett Countÿ for the Resurveying & Laÿeing outt a parcell of Land Called Kellams Follÿ with Libertÿ to adde thereof whatt waste Land Laÿ Contiguous thereunto was Resurveyed & Laid out for the said Thomas Pemberton the aforesaid parcell of Land which was Kellams Follÿ & is Now Called Fairefeild scituate Lyeing & being on the East side of Chesepeck Baÿ in a Forcke of Wiccocomoco River being bounded as followeth begining att a Marked Kiccorÿ standing on the westernmost side of a small Creeke on the North side of Wiccocomoco River being a Corner tree of a parcell of Land formerlÿ surveÿed for Richard Stevens thence bounded on the East w.th a line drawne North North East four hundred thirtÿ four perches to a Marked read oake With a stopping topp thence w.th a Line drawne North west twenty Nine Perches to the south side of a small Creeke called Cowassicke Creeke thence Bounded for the Northerne Bounds downe the said Cowassicke Creeke by the s.d Creeke ^to^ the Mouth thereof to a Maine Arme of the aforesaid Wiccocomoco River Called Rihcawakin River & from thence bounded on the Northwest and Westerne Bounds downe the said Rohcawakin River bÿ the said River to the Afforesaid Forcke and thence for the southerne bounds bounded up the said Wiccocomoco River By the said River to a marked small white oake standing on y.e Edge of the high Land by a small skirt of Marrshes by the said Wiccomoco River a little above four Perches south west & by south from the first Bounder and from thence with a Right Line drawne to the first Bounder Conveyning & Laid out according to the Certificat of survey thereof taken & Returned into the Land office att the Cittÿ of S.t Marÿes bearing Date the second daÿ of februarÿ 1682 & thence Remaining upon Reccord for Nine hundred acres (More or Lesse) together with all Rights Proffitts and Benefitts thereunto Belonging Royall Mines Excepted To have and To hold the same unto him the said Thomas Pemberton his heires and assignes for Ever to be holden of the Manno.r of Somme^r^sett in free & Common soccage by Fealty only for all Manner of services Yeilding & payeing therfore Yearlÿ and Everÿ ÿeare to the Right hono.ble the Lord Proprietarÿ Eightee Eighteene shilling Monÿ sterling and for a fine upon Everÿ alienacon one |
