341) 350 This Indenture made the Tenth day of May In the yeare of our Lord Christ 1684 And in the six and thirtieth yeare of the raigne of our soveraigne Lord Charles the second by the grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland king defender of the faith &c Betweene Richard Pery of London heretofore of Patuxent River in the Province of Maryland in America Merchant of the one part And Thomas Plowden of Lasham in the County of Southampton Esq.r and George Plowden of Lasham aforesaid Gent of the other part Witnesseth That for & in Consideracon of the sume of six hundred pounds of lawfull money of England to him the said Richard Pery in hand payd by the said Thomas Plowden and George Plowden The receipt whereof the said Richard Pery doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and of every part thereof doth acquit release and discharge the said Thomas Plowden and George Plowden their Executors and adm.rs by these presents Hee the said Richard Pery Hath granted bargained aliened and confirmed And by these presents doth grannt bargaine sell alien enfeoffe and confirme unto the said Thomas Plowden and George Plowden their heires and assignes All that Manner with the appurtenances called The Resurrecon Mannor in or neare Calvert County in the said Province of Maryland in America conteyning by Estimacon Foure thousand or thereabouts And all plantacons Messuages houses Edifices buildings Mills and mill houses store houses tobacco houses barnes stables out houses orchards gardens lands tenements and hereditaments whatsoever to the said Mannor belonging or apperteyning or accepted or reputed as part parcell or member thereof or appurtenances thereunto And also all his the said Richard Peryes Negroes And all his right and title to all Negroes in upon and belonging to the said Mannor plantacon and premisses And also All that & those farms and lands and Calvert County aforesaid conteyning by Estimacon Five hundred acres or thereabouts and commonly called or knowne by the name of the farme heretofore grannted by pattent in that behalfe to John Bateman of London Haberdasher otherwise called John Bateman of Patuxent River aforesaid planter And also all that & those the farme and lands conteyning by Estimacon two hundred acres or thereabouts scituate lying and being in Calvert County aforesaid in the said province of Maryland on or neare the west side of Patuxent River And commonly called & knowne by the Name of or Names of the farme or Charles Birds plantacon & neare or adjoyning to certaine lands now or late of or belonging to M.r Brent on one side thereof which said farme and lands last menconed were heretofore grannted to the said Richard Pery and his heires by patent And the Revercon & revercons remainder and remainders rents issues and proffitts of all and singuler the premisses and of every part & parcell thereof and all the Estate right title interest use possession trust clayme and demannd whatsoever in law and Equity of him the said Richard Pery of in to upon and out of the said premisses or any of them or any part or parcell thereof And also all patents deeds writings Evidences Charters Escripts and muniments whatsoever of or belonging to him the said Richard Pery touching or concerning the premisses or any part or parcell thereof To have and to hold one moytie or halfe part of the said Mannor Messuage plantacons farmes lands tenements and hereditaments & premisses herein before menconed or intended to be hereby bargained and sold with their and every of their appurtennces unto the said Thomas Plowden his heirs and assignes for ever To the use and behoofe of the said Thomas Plowden and of his heirs and assignes for ever And the said Richard Pery for the Consideration aforesaid Hath bargained sold assignes his [illegible] by these presents doe bargaine sell assigne transferre & [illegible] to the said Thomas Plowden and George Plowden |
