323 (314 It is also Ordered by the said Court by and with the Consent of the said Nehemiah Blackiston and Samuel Cooper who aswell &c That Cap.t John Osborne M.r James Dasheel M.r Rich.d Whitty and M.r John King all of somersett County be and are appoynted Appraisors to view Appraise and vallue the said ship ammunicon guns tackle and apparrell and goods therein brought to the best of their Understanding and knowledge on or befor the twentyeth day of March instant And that on or before the said Twentyeth day of March instant they the said Appraiso.rs under their hands and seales deliver into the hands of Coll William Stevens of the County aforesaid Collecto.r in these parts and especially appoynted (since the death of M.r Christopher Rousby) to secure his Ma.tys Imposicons and dutye in the parts aforesaid The Appraisement by them made in writeing who is also by the said Court ordered with all possible Speed to transmitt and said the same to the said Hon.ble Coll Henry Darnall Coll W.m Diggs and Nehemiah Blackiston aforesaid or any or either of them And the said Coll William Stevens is by the said Court authorized and Empowred to Administer the Usuall oath of an Appraisor to the aforesaid Apraisors And that the said Coll William Stevens And the said Sam.ll Cooper Deputy Comptroller and surveyo.r of his Ma.tys Customes rates dutys and Imposicons in Somersett County forthwith take an accompt in writeing of the wages due to each particular seaman in or belonging to the said shipp And to report and send the same together and with the Appraisement aforesaid to the said Coll Darnall Coll Diggs and Nehemiah Blackiston or any or either of them To the end the same way be duly payd out of the vallue or sume of the said Appraisem.t And the said Court also Ordered That the said Master be first treated with in order to the purchaseing againe of the said shipp And that the said Appraisors are to take notice that the goods menconed in the said Informacon and by them to be Appraised are as followeth viz.t a parcell of shooes a parcell of stockins severall peeces of Irish Frees and sixty Course Hatts The said Appraiso.rs made returne of their Appraisem.t by an Inventory as followeth viz.t March the 18.th 1684/5 An Inventory of the shipp Ossory Rideing at Anchor in the River of Monokin in Somersett County In the Province of Maryland
These are to Certifie whome it may conserne that the day above menconed on board the said ship have appraised the Hull of the said ship & her appurtences & other goods in the above Inventory to the vallue of Four hundred and twelve pounds Nineteen shillings and Tenn pence sterl mony of England w.ch Inventory is the full accompt of all that was there brought to our veiw in obedience to a warrant of Appraisement to us directed bearing date the Fifth day of this instant March as witness o.r hands & seales this 18.th March 1684 Jn.o Osborne (sealed) Rich.d Whitty his ink (sealed) James Dasheele (sealed) John King (sealed) (A List) |
