       Know all men by these p.rsents That I Thomas Truman of
       Petuxant River in Calvert County in the Province of Maryland Gentleman
       have Assigned Ordeyned & made & in my Stead & place by these p.rsents
       putt & Constituted my truly and welbeloved Freind Thomas Greenefeild
       of the Same County planter and in Case of Mortality or that itt shall
       please God the said Thomas Greenfeild Should dye dissability or
       departure out of this Province My truly & welbeloved James Keech
       of the Same County Gentl My true & lawfull Attorneys for me & in
       my Name & to my use to Aske Sue for Levy Require Recover & Receive
       all & Every Such debt or Debts Rents or Arearages of Rents Sume of
       Sumes of Money Sumes or quantityes of Tobacco as are now due unto
       me or which att any day or dayes time or times hereafter shall be
       due Oweing or belonging unto mee by any manner of Wayes or Meanes
       whatsoever from any personn or persons whatsoever within the said
       Province or any other place whatsoever in Amerrica Giveing and
       Granting unto my said Atturney the Said Thomas Greenfeild & in
       Case of his decease disability or departure out of this Province as
       aforesaid to the said James Keech by these p.rsents My full & whole
       power Strength & Authority in and about the premisses And upon the
       Receipt of any such debts Rents Sumes of money or tobacco aforesaid
       Acquittances or other discharges for mee & in my name to make Seale &
       deliver and all & Every other Act & Acts thing & things devise & devises
       in the Law whatsoever needfull or necessary to be done in or about
       the premisses for the Recovery of all or any Such debts Sumes of money
       or tobaccoes as aforesaid for me & in my name to Doe Execute & Pforme
       ad fully Largely & Amply to all intents & purposes as I myselfe might
       or Could doe if I were Psonally p.rsent with power of Constituteing one or
       more Attorneys under them as occasion shall require if they shall soe
       thinke fitt and the same att theire Wills & pleasures to revoake Ratifieing
       and Confirming alloweing & holding firme & shall by these p.rsents
       whatsoever my said Attorney Thomas Greenfeild or in Case of his
       discease disabillity or departure out of this Province as Aforesaid the
       said James Keech Shall lawfully doe or Act in the premisses In
       Testimony Whereof I have hereunto sett my hand & seale this Eighteenth
       day of June in the Second yeare of the Dominion of Charles Absolute
       Lord & Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland & Avalon Lord Barron
       of Baltemore &c Annoq Dom 1677

                         under the Above Letter of Attorney was written viz.t

       June the twentyeth 1677 Major Thomas Truman Acknowledgeth
       that this Letter of Atturney is his Act and deed before me
       Will Calvert

       Recd the Seaventeenth day of February 1676 of John Dixon by the Order
       of M.r John Turpin upon the Accompte of M.r William Hewitt the sume of
       Sixteene hundred & ninety pounds of Tobacco I Say Recd
                                                                                     p me James Frisby

                         December the 10.th 1675
       Pray pay to M.r James Frisby or his Order the Sume of Sixteene hundred and
       ninety pounds of Tobacco & place itt to the proper Accompte
