273 263) and Suffered all & every such further & other Act or Acts Thing or Things Devise or Devises Assurance or Assurances whatsoever requisite in the Law for the better assureing & more sure makeing of the said Bargained premisses with the Appurtenances unto the said Robert Dixon his heires and Assignes for ever Be it by Inrolement of these p.rsents fine Feofment or otherwise or by any other such lawfull waies or meanes as y.e said Robert Dixon or his heires or Assignes or his or their Councill Learned in the law shall be resonably devised Advised or required And the said John Edmundson Doth further Covenant promise & graunt To & with the said Robert Dixon his heires & Assignes That he the said John Edmundson hath not done nor sufered any matter or thing whereby to Incumber the premises In title Charge Rent or Otherwise howsoever But that the said Robert Dixon his heires & Assignes may have hold use & Inioy y.e said Bargained premises free & Cleer & freely & cleerly acquitted & discharged from all former & Other Bargaines sales Leases Guifts Grants Wills Joynters Dowers & Especially from the Joynture or dower of Sarah the now wife of the said John Edmundson & from all other Charges troubles & Incumbrances whatsoever In Wittness whereof the said John Edmundson his hand & seale to these presents hath sett & putt y.e day & yeer first above written signed sealed & delivered In the presence of Thomas Cosden John Broome John Edmundson Charles Boteler George Thompson On the backside of the foregoeing Conveyance was thus written Octob.r 11.th 1682 Then Came into Court the within named John Edmundson and acknowledged the within mentioned deed to be by him signed sealed & as his Act & deed delivered to the uses therein mentioned Test W.m Cocks This Indenture made the twentieth day of March in the Eight Year of the Dominion of the right Hono.ble Charles &c.a between Richard Peacock of the County of Talbott in the Province of Maryland Gent of the one part and Daniell Toaes of the Country of Bishopprick of Durham in the Kingdome of England Mariner of the other part Wittnesseth that the said Richard Peacock as well for & in Consideration of the sume of sixteen pounds lawfull moneyes of England to him in hand paid by the said Daniell Toaes before the sealing & delivery of these presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge & himself to be therewith fully satisfyed contented & paid and thereof and of every part & parcell thereof doth hereby clearly & absolutely release acquit exhonerate & discharge the said Daniell Toaes his heires & Assignes and every of them for ever by these presents doth fully clearly & absolutely give grant bargaine sell allien enfeoff & confirme unto the said Daniell Toaes & to his heires & Assignes for ever all that parcell of land Commonly called or known by the name of Toaes purchase lying int Cæcill County near the head of the maine branch of Sasafrax River adioyning to a parcell of land formerly laid out for Richard Paine beginning at a marked Oake standing upon a point by the side of the aforesaid branch & runing thence North East three hundred & twenty perches then North west two hundred & twenty perches to the aforesaid Land of Richard Paine then with the said land to the branch aforesaid then with the said branch to the first bounded Oak conteining & laid out (according to the Certificate of survey thereof returned Into the Office for land |
