(230) 240 Tract of land Plantacon & p.rmisses shall and will hereafter warrant and defend to the said John & Richard their heires and Assignes for Ever against him the said Johnathan Squire his heires & Assignes for Ever and all and every other person or persons whatsoever claymeing by from or under him them or any or either of them And further the said Johnathan for himselfe his heires Executo.rs & Adm.rs doth Covent to & with the said John and Richard their heires & Assignes that he the said Jonathan shall & will from time to time hereafter dureing the space of seaven yeares att the request of the said John & Richard and att the proper Costs of them the said John & Richard make doe and Execute every further Act thing or things requisite in the p.rmisses for the better assuring & the more suremakeing of the above bargained p.rmisses to them the said John and Richard their heires & Assignes w.th warranty only of the said Jonathan his heires & Assignes against him the said Jonathan Squire his heires & Assignes be it by Enrolem.t of these p.rsents Fine feoment or any other lawfull wayes or meanes as by them the said John and Richard their heires and Assignes or their Councell learned in the law shalbe reasonably devised advised or required In witness whereof the partyes to these p.rsent Indentures have hereunto interchangeably sett their hands & seales the day and yeare first above Written Sealed & delivered in the p.rsence of Jonathan Squire (sealed) Kenelm Cheseldyn W.m Taylard on the backside of the aforegoeing Indenture was thus written viz.t James Callen Mem.d the seaventh day of March One thousand six hundred Eighty & one Came Jonathan Squire before us Philip Calvert Esq.r and William Calvert Esq.r Two of his Lopps Justices of the Provinciall Court and acknowledged the within written Indenture to be his Act & Deed Philip Calvert Will Calvert This Indenture made the Nine & twentyeth day of December in the year of our Lord God One thousand Six hundred and Eighty Between Francis Leafe of Calvert County Bricklayer and Sarah his wife of the one part and Jenkin Smith of the same County Planter of the other part Whereas the Right honoble Charles absolute Lord and Prop.ry of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c by the Letters Patents bearing date att the Citty of S.t Marys the Ninth day of September Anno Dne One thousand Six hundred Seaventy Nine for the Consideracons therein menconed Did grant unto him the said Francis Leafe his heires and Assignes All that parcell of land called the Narrows lyeing in Baltemore County on the South side of Patapsco River and on the North side of a Creeke called Stone Creeke begining att a bounded Spanish Oake and Runing North Seaventy perches to a bounded Chesnutt Oake standing att the head of a Cove Then North west twenty perches then with a small Creeke lyeing up West South west One hundred and thirty perches to a bounded white Oake standing in the Forke of a Creeke then into the woods Containeing the said Course Forty perches to a bounded Oak then South East Forty perches then bounding to a branch of the said Stoney Creeke lyeing South South East to the turning of the said branch then bounding on the Said Creeke on a Straight lyne to the first bounded tree containing and now layd out |
