153 (144 and in the yeare of our Lord One thousand six hundred seaventy Nine signed sealed & Deliv.rd in the p.rsence of us Willm Gwyther James Boullary John Thompson locus sigilli Underneath the aforegoing Deed of Conveyance was written Viz.t This Deed was acknowledged the twelfth day of January One thousand six hundred seaventy nine before me January 22.th 1679 Philip Calvert Canc Edward Ward of Saint Maryes County desired the marke of his hoggs and Cattle might be Recorded which is as followes the left Eare Swallow Forbed The right Eare Cropt a hole thorow a peece taken out of the uper side alsoe a peece Cutt out of the lower side Know all men by these p.rsents by these p.rsents that I John England of the Citty of Bristoll March.t have Ordained Authorized deputed and appointed and in my place and stead doe put and constitute Robert Ridgely of St Maries County in the Province of Maryland Gentl my true and Lawfull Attorney for me and in my name and to my use to aske demand Leavie sue for recover and receive of and from all and every person and persons in Virginia and Maryland All and every such sume and sumes of money goods wares Marchandizes debts dues and demands whatsoever w.ch are or shall bee to mee due oweing or in any wise belonging either by bill bond specialty Booke score accompt Recconing or otherwise howsoever Giveing and hereby granting unto my said Attorney all my full Power good Right and Lawfull authority in the p.rmisses the said person and persons or theire Execut.rs and adm.rs and theire goods and Chattells to sue arrest attach implead prosecute Imprison and out of prison to deliver Letter of acquittance & sufficient discharges for me and in my name to make seale and execute Attorney or Attorneys one or more under him to put and Constitute and the same at his pleasure to Revoke Competicon to make and Generally all and every such further and other Lawfull Act and Acts thing and things as shall bee needfull and necessary in or about the premisses to doe or cause to bee done as fully largely & amply as I my selfe might or could doe if I were personally present Rattifying confirmeing & allowing all and whatsoever my said Attorney shall Lawfully doe or cause to bee done in or about the Execucon of the premisses by vertue of these presents In witnesse whereof I have hereunto put my hand and seale the twenty fifth day of October Anno RRs Carol sedi nunc Angl &c tricessimo Anno Domini One thousand six hundred seaventy eight John England sealed Sealed and delivered in y.e p.rsence of Anthony Taunton Jn.o Lane Henry Barnsdale Jn.o Donne & Stephen Davis Comand was given to the Sheriffe of Kent County that he should Attach any the Goods or Chattles of Thomas Peighen if they should be found in his bailywick to the value of twenty two pounds five shillings sterl And when he had the same so Attached or any part thereof the same in his custody to keep untill the said Thomas Peighen should by himselfe or his Attorney appeare here the fifth day of March in the third yeare of the Dominion of the right Hon.ble Charles Lord Baltemore &c Annoq Dom 1678 to Answer unto John Burdett in a plea of trespas upon the case one which said fifth day of March Michael Miller Sheriffe of the County aforesaid made returne of the writt aforesaid that by vertue thereof he had Attached & Appraized these Goods following as the proper Goods of Thomas Peighen w.ch followes viz.t The Appraisement of the Goods of Thomas Peighen marriner by vertue of an Attachement directed to the Sheriffe of Kent County for & to the use of John Burdett Attached for the sume of twenty two pounds five shillings sterl |
