11 Memorandu This Fifteenth day of Aprill Annoq Dom One Thousand Six hundred Seaventy It is Agreed upon & Concluded by & betweene John Quigley of S.t Maryes County Gentl of the one And Thomas Paine John Roberts & Thomas Walker Bricklayers on the other part That the said Bricklayres shall finish & Compleat the Bricklayers worke of the Court house and Prison Erected or to be Erected by john Quigley aforesaid According to Act of Assembly And the said John Quigley to find and allow unto them Diet washing & Lodging Dureing the time that they shall be about the same And alsoe to find & allow them Four able Servants to attend them about the said worke And alsoe One Bricklayer to worke with them And to find them att all times sufficient materialls for the worke aforesaid In Such manner that the Said Bricklayers Shall not lay time for want of such materialls Nor that the said Servants Shall not loose time by the Neglect of the said Bricklayers And further the said John Quigley doth Covenant & promise to & with the Bricklayers aforesaid That upon the Tenth day of November next after the Finishing of the worke aforesaid The said John Quigley shall pay unto the Said Bricklayers The Sume of Four Thousand pounds of Tobacco & Caske in the County of Ann Arundell In Witnes of which Agreement the partyes have hereunto sett theire hands & Seales the day & yeare first above written John Quigley Sealed Thomas Payne Sealed Signed Aprill the fifteenth one Thousand Sex hundred Seaventy Six John R Roberts Sealed The above written Agreement was their in Open Court Acknowledged Thomas Walker Sealed by the partyes above named to be theire Act & Deed Jn.o Blomfeild &c By this publick Instrument of Procuracon or Letter of Attorney Be it Knowne & manifest unto all those who shall see these p.rsents or heare the same read that on the Ninth day of the month of September Anno Dom One Thousand Six hundred Seaventy Six and in the Eighty & Twentyeth yeare of the Reigne of Our Sovereigne Lord Charles the Second by the Grace of God King of England Scotland France & Ireland defender of the faith &c Before me Nicholas Hayward Notary Tabellion publick dwelling in London by Authority of his said Majesty Admitted & Sworne & in the p.rsence of the Witnesses hereafter named personally appeared George White of Runwell in the County of Essex Esq.r at p.rsent in London who hath made ordained & Constituted as by these p.rsents in the stead & place he doth make Ordaine & Constitute Thomas Taylor of Ann Arundell County in the province of Maryland Esquire his true and lawfull Attorney and Assigne Giveing & by these p.rsents Granting unto his said Attorney and Assigne full power & lawfull authority for him Constituant in his name and to his use to Aske demand Leavy recover and Receive of and from all & Every person or persons whom of Right it shall Concerne or of theire Heires Exec.rs Adm.rs Goods Effects Plantations Servants Chattles Cattle Antions & Creditts wheresoever he they every or any of them are or shall be found Either in Maryland or Virginea all Such Sume & Sumes of money Tobaccoes Goods Wares Merchandizes & other things whatsoever as any such person or persons doth or doe Owe & are or is indebted or hath or have in his theire Either or any of theire hands Custody or possession in any wise due or belonging unto the said Constituant Bee by Bond Bill Booke accompt writeings Notes Contracts premises bills of Exchange or otherwise for what Cause or reason soever upon Recovery & Receipt to give acquittances & discharges in due Forme Alsoe to pay & satisfie all lawfull debts that are or shall bee due and oweing by and from the said Constituant to any person or persons concerned whatsoever in Maryland or Virginia aforesaid and to take legall discharges likewise with any person or persons Concerned to reckon adjust Even & ballance accompts Compound Conclude and Agree End & Determine any difference or dispute Moreover the said Constituant doth hereby impower and Authorize his said Attorney on the behalfe of the Said Constituant to grant bargaine & from him to sell assigne Convey Confirme and make over all & Every the plantation or plantations and appurtenances Lands Meadows Pastures Marshes Woods underwoods Woodgrounds Trees Tenements houses household Stuffe Utensills and Implements of husbandry Servants Slaves Horses Cowes Sheepe Hoggs Cattle Tobaccoes goods Chattels Stock and all other Heriditaments and things whatsoever to the said Constituant belonging or any wayes appertaining in the said Province of Maryland to such person or persons for such price or prices and upon Such Termes & Condicons as the said Attorney shall think most fitting & Convenient for the Greatest profitt and Advantage of the Said Constituant And for the Effectual Doeing of the same to Signe Seale & Deliver Execute for and in the name of him Constituant all such Deeds of Same Conveyances Assignments |
