Maryland fs  These are to desire Authorize and impower you and Either of you to prosecute On my behalfe All such
       Accons as shall by me or my Attorney or Attorneys be Comenced against any person whatsoever in the
       Provinciall Court of this Province And to appeare for me in all accons which shall be Comenced
       against me for any person or persons whatsoever in the said Court and the same to defend and to plead
       such plea or pleas as to your or Either of you shall seeme fitt And for your soe doeing this shall be your
       sufficient warrant Wittnes my hand and seale the Twelfth day of March in the yeare of Our lord
       God One thousand six hundred seaventy Eight                           his marke

                            On the backside of the aforegoing warr.t of Attorney was written (Viz.t)

       Memorandum that this day being the Twenty Sixth day of Aprill One thousand six hundred seaventy Nine Came
       before me John Fawkes One of the wittnesses to the within menconed warrant of Attorney And did take
       his Corporall Oath upon y.e Holy Evangelists that he was p.rsent and did see within named Charles
       Hollingsworth Signe seale and deliver the said Warr.t of Attorney as his Act and deed

Richard Pullen Pat  Charles Absolute Lord and Prop.ry of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of
650 Acres              Baltemore &.ca To all persons to whom these p.rsents shall Come Greetinge in our Lord God everlasting
       Know yee that are whereas itt appeareth in the Records for Land Remaineing in our Recor
       Secretaryes office that by grant under the greate seale of our said Province of Maryland
       Bearing date the Seaventh day of January in the Eight and twentyeth yeare of the
       dominion of our Deare Father Cæcilius of noble memory &.ca Annoq Domini one thousand
       Six hundred Fifty and nine ^was given^ Grant unto Cap.n Thomas Howell now Late Deceased All that
       pcell of Land now Called Farley Lyeing on the East side of Chestapeake Bay and on
       the South side of a Creeke Called Fendalls Creeke Contayneing Six hundred ^& fifty^ Acres more or
       Less And the said Thomas Howell as we are informed haveing Surreptitiously obteyned
       a pattent for the said parcell of Land Contrary to y.e Condicons of plantacon of our s.d
       Father ^Comand^ was given to our sheriffe of Cæcill County that by good and Lawfull men of his
       Baylywick he make Knowne to the Heyrs of the said Thomas Howell or to the heyres
       of James Browne late deceased that they be and appeare before us in our said Court
       of Chancery held att our Citty of Saint Maryes the fourth day of Aprill Anno One thousand
       six hundred Seaventy Six to shew Cause if any they had why the said Letters Pattents
       of the Land aforesaid ought not to be Revoaked and Adnulled and the same into our
       hands be seized And further to doe and Receive what our said Court shall doe or grant
       to be done in this behalfe And how he should Execute this our Precept that he make knowne
       to our said Court the day aforesaid Att which said Fourth day of Aprill in the yeare aforesaid
       the same Sheriffe made Returne of the writt aforesaid Endorsed the one and thirtyeth day of
       March one thousand six hundred Seaventy six that By vertue thereof he had warned the heyres
       of Cap.n Thomas Howell Lately deceased But for the heyres of James Browne Could not be found within his
       Baylywike Att which said Fourth day of Aprill the heyres of the said Thomas Howell Came not but made
       default and Afterwards to witt the Eleaventh day of the same aprill our said Court being informed and fully
       sattisfyed that the said grant is Surreptitiously obtained ^obtained^ Contrary to the Condicons of Plantacon of our
       said Late father Cæcilius of noble memory And therefore did order that our Deare uncle Phillip
       Calvert Esq.r our Chancellour of our said Province of Maryland should vacate the aforesaid
       Pattent upon Record And did adjudge the said Land to be and of Right ought to be seized in our
       Right Now know yee ^that^ the wee for and in Consideracon of the full Quantyty of twenty five
       thousand pounds of tobacco to us in hand paid By Richard Pullen in Cæcill County in our said
       province of Maryland the Receipt wherof we doe hereby Acknowledge Doe Grant unto
