[(7)] (6) Perform [such] other duties [as may be]
assigned to him by law.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 51(c) be and it is hereby added to Article 40 —
General Assembly, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) to read as
follows:

Article 40 - General Assembly

51.

(C) THE DEPARTMENT SHALL DISTRIBUTE BOUND COPIES
OF THE LAWS AND JOURNALS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY. THE
DISTRIBUTION SHALL INCLUDE ONE COPY OF THE LAVS AND
JOURNALS TO EACH PUBLIC CIRCULATING LIBRARY OR LIBRARY
ASSOCIATION WHICH APPLIES THEREFOR, IF AT THE TIME OF
APPLICATION THERE ARE MORE THAN 25 COPIES OF THE
PARTICULAR VOLUME IN THE DEPARTMENT'S SUPPLY. THE
DISTRIBUTION ALSO MAY INCLUDE SALE OR EXCHANGE OF THE
LAWS AND JOURNALS.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

AN ACT concerning

Larceny and Receiving Stolen Goods - Penalties

FOR the purpose of changing the criminal penalties for
receiving certain stolen property having a value
under $100 so that the penalty is consistent with
the penalty for larceny of goods having a value
under $100; deleting certain references to certain
places of incarceration; and making certain
technical changes to the language and style of
expression of certain sections of the Code.
