The reference to Article 11, §§ 169 et seq.,
is modified to reflect the reorganization of
this material, and the reference to the "Bank
Commissioner" is corrected to the
"Commissioner of Consumer Credit." For

Title 12, Subtitle 3 of the Commercial Law
Article.
SECTION 7. AID BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Article
58A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Replacement
Volume, 1974 Supplement) title "Loans — Consumer" be and
it is hereby renamed "Small Loans — Licensing
Provisions," and that Sections 6 and 23 of said article
be and they are hereby repealed and re—enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

SMALL LOANS - LICENSING PROVISIONS
§ 6. Refusing to issue, revoking or suspending
license—Revocation or suspension for violation of
article or of [Article 83, § 167 3 TITLE 13, SUBTITLE 4 OF
THE COMMERCIAL LAW ARTICLE.
The [Administrator of Loan Laws] COMMISSIONER OF
CONSUMER CREDIT may, upon notice to the licensee and
reasonable opportunity to be heard, revoke or suspend
such license upon the finding that the licensee has
violated any provision of this article, or the licensee
knowingly has repeatedly violated the provisions of
[Article 83, § 1673 TITLE 14, SUBTITLE 2 OF THE
COMMERCIAL LAW ARTICLE RELATING TO CONSUMER DEBT
COLLECTIONS; and in case the licensee shall be convicted
by a court a second time of a violation of [§§ 16 or 19
of this article] §§ 12-203, 12-205, 12-208(A), OR 12-210
OF THE COMMERCIAL LAW ARTICLE, the [Administrator of Loan
Laws] COMMISSIONER OF CONSUMER CREDIT shall revoke such
license; provided that the second offense shall have
occurred after a prior conviction, in which case another
license shall not be issued to such licensee. Upon
revoking or suspending any license, the [Administrator]
COMMISSIONER OF CONSUMER CREDIT shall file in his office
his finding and a statement of all facts considered by
him upon which said finding is based.
