Section 3. Members of the Commission who served
between December, 1970, and July, 1971, and who are
County employees shall accrue twelve (12) days of annual
leave over and above their regularly accrued annual
leave.]
SECTION 5. BE IT FURTHER ENACTED that Section 3 of
CB—1—1972 dealing with the Human Relations Commission, is
hereby repealed and reenacted as follows:
Section 3. Human Relations Commission. There is
hereby created a Human Relations Commission composed of
thirteen members who shall be appointed by the County
Executive and confirmed by the Council pursuant to the
provisions of Section 322 of the Charter, and who shall
be broadly representative of the citizens of Prince
George's County. Of the initial members of the Human
Relations Commission, four members shall be appointed for
terms to expire one year after the effective date of this
Act, four members shall be appointed for two years from
the effective date of this Act, and five members shall be
appointed for three years from the effective date of this
Act. The County Executive shall designate one member of
the Commission to serve as Chairman, subject to
confirmation by the County Council. The Chairman and any
member shall [receive compensation in the amount of Fifty
Dollars ($50.00) per day, not to exceed Twenty—Eight
Hundred Dollars ($2,800.00) per annum, for each day
during which he shall be actively engaged in pursuing the
duties of his office. All members of the Commission are
entitled to be reimbursed for expenses actually incurred
in the performance of their duties in accordance with the
travel and subsistence regulations normally applicable to
employees of the County government.] BE COMPENSATED IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF A CATEGORY 2 BOARD AS
PROVIDED FOR IN CHAPTER 3A. The Commission shall adopt
and publish its own rules and regulations which shall be
subject to the approval of the County Executive, and
shall meet at least once each month. The Commission may
establish special Hearing Panels consisting of at least
