PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY

its proceedings.

The Director shall make available to the Board such
services and facilities as are necessary for the proper
performance of its duties. The Board shall be subject to
the County budget process and be included in the budget
of the Department. A County Attorney shall serve as
counsel to the Board. The Board shall promulgate Rules
of Procedure for the conduct of hearings which Rules
shall be subject to the approval of the County Executive.

SECTION 3. BE IT FURTHER ENACTED that Chapter 5A-3a
of the Prince George's County Code of Ordinances and
Resolutions, 1967 edition as amended, being CB—41—1971
dealing with the Board of Ethics, is hereby repealed and
reenacted with the following amendments:

a. The Board shall be composed of three members,
appointed by the County Executive and confirmed by the
County Council. All members shall reside in an be
qualified voters in the County. Rejection of any nominee
to this Board shall be by a vote of a majority of the
full Council. No more than two members of the Board may
be of the same political party. The County Executive
shall designate one member as Chairman. No member of the
Board shall be an officer or employee of the County. THE
BOARD SHALL BE COMPENSATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
PROVISIONS OF A CATEGORY 2 BOARD AS PROVIDED FOR IN
CHAPTER 3A.

SECTION 4. BE IT FURTHER ENACTED that CB—46-1971,
dealing with the Fire Commission, is hereby repealed and
reenacted with the following amendments:

that the members of the Fire Commission established
by Section 14 of the Schedule of Legislation, except for
members who are County employees, shall be compensated
[at the rate of Fifty ($50.00) dollars per meeting, for a
maximum not to exceed two meetings per month, for
attendance at meeting of the Commission.] IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE PROVISIONS OF A CATEGORY 2 BOARD AS PROVIDED IN
CHAPTER 3A.

[Section 2. Members of the Fire Commission who
served on the Commission between December, 1970, and
July, 1971, except for members who are County employees,
shall each be paid the following sums for their services
on the Commission:
