COUNTY LOCAL LAWS
SECTION XIII. Effective date.
This Act shall take effect on the 76th day
following its enactment. Any increases in benefits as a
result of these amendments to the Employees' Retirement
System of Montgomery County shall become effective as of
the first day of the month following the effective date
of these revisions unless an earlier or later date is
specified herein.

AN ACT to amend Chapter 29, title "Landlord—Tenant
Relations", of the Montgomery County Code 197 2, as
amended, by repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,
Section 29-1, title "Definitions", to provide that
personal property, such as a trailer coach (mobile home)
which is to be occupied as a place of abode rather than
as temporary lodging; real property, which is necessary
for the convenient use of the personal property;
property, which is available for use by a tenant in
connection with the tenant's occupancy of personal
property for which the tenant must pay rent; and trailer
coach parks (mobile home parks) shall be covered, with
certain exceptions, by the provisions of the Montgomery
County Fair Landlord—Tenant Relations Law.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL FOR MONTGOMERY COUNTY,
MARYLAND, that -
Sec. 1. Section 29—1, title "Definitions", of
Chapter 29, title "Landlord—Tenant Relations", Montgomery
County Code 1972, as amended, is hereby repealed and
re—enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
29—1. Definitions.
For the purposes of this Chapter, the following
words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively
ascribed to them by this section:
Affected tenant. Any tenant whose health, safety or
welfare is, or reasonably may be, impaired by a defective
tenancy.
Bona fide complaint, response or effort. A
complaint or response or effort made in good faith as
