COUNTY LOCAL LAWS

(1)     The membership of the commission shall
be composed of:

a.      The following governmental and
judicial officers, or their designees:

County executive.

Superintendent of Police, Montgomery
County,

Sheriff, Montgomery County.

Administrative judge, Montgomery County
District Court.

State's attorney, Montgomery County.

Clerk, Montgomery County Circuit Court.

Administrative judge, Montgomery County
Circuit Court.

Public defender, Montgomery County.

Director, department of corrections and
rehabilitation, Montgomery County.

Mayor, City of Rockville.

Mayor, City of Gaithersburg.

Mayor, City of Takoma Park.

Senior associate judge for juvenile
causes. District Court, Montgomery
County.

b.      Five additional members, at least
one of whom shall be an elected judicial member or other
elected official of the County, one shall be from the
juvenile court committee, and the remainder
nongovernmental representatives of the County who have
special knowledge and dedicated interest in the field;
these five additional members to be appointed by the
county executive, subject to confirmation by the county
council.

(2)     The chairman of the commission shall be
designated annually by the county executive.

(3)     The vice-chairman shall be elected
annually by a majority vote of the commission.
