COUNTY, MARYLAND, that

Sec. 1. Chapter 53-19, title "Schedule of Fare
Sates" of Chapter 53, title "Taxicabs and Limousines", is
hereby repealed and re—enacted with amendments to read as
follows:

53—19. Schedule of Fare Rates.

Each taximeter shall be set to register fares on the
following schedule of rates.

(a) Rate for not more than one passenger:

For the first one—half mile............. $.60

For each succeeding one—sixth of a mile. $.10

For such waiting time beginning five minutes
after the time for which the taxicab has
been called or is available to the customer
and for such time while such taxicab is
stopped, has slowed to a speed of less than
seven miles per hour.......... $6.00 per hour

Such hourly rate is in lieu of the above
mileage rate for such periods as the taxicab
is stopped, waiting or slowed at a speed of
less than seven miles per hour. Time consumed
for delays or stop—overs en route at the
direction of the passenger shall be charged at
the rate of $6.00 per hour. Any waiting time
shall not include time lost due to the
inefficiency of a taxicab.

(b) Rates for each unit of extra passengers:

For more than 1 passenger in the same party,
except for groups described in Sec. 53—27(a),
each.................................... $.50

For each suitcase above one per
passenger............................... $.25

For each trunk.......................... $.50

For pickup and/or delivery service performed
at request or taxicab hirer........................ $.50

Grocery bag or other comparable parcels in
excess of two per passenger........................ $.15
