COUNTY LOCAL LAWS
ON-SITE UTILITY CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE:
This license shall be issued to an official of a
company, firm and or corporation who installs on—site
sewer, water and storm drainage facilities from
connections at the property line to within five feet of
any newly constructed improvement on such property and
who is entitled to secure permits for such work. He
shall have a regular place of business in the State of
Maryland, and be a citizen of the United States and shall
be qualified as provided in section 23—8 of this title.
DISPOSAL SYSTEM CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE:
This license shall be issued to a person who
installs private disposal systems composed of septic
tanks, seepage pits, filtering beds, distribution boxes
and drain fields, and who is entitled to secure permits
for such work. He shall have a regular place of business
in the State of Maryland and must be a citizen of the
United States and shall be qualified as provided in this
Title.
WATER PUMP CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE:
This license shall be issued to a person who
installs water pumps in wells, springs and cisterns, who
is authorized to connect such pumps to the water system
of any building used for human occupancy, and who is
entitled to secure permits for such work. He shall have a
regular place of business in the State of Maryland, must
be a citizen of the United States and shall be qualified
as provided in this Title.
23—8 Method of Obtaining Licenses:
No person shall be issued one of the foregoing
licenses except an Apprentice Plumber-Gasfitter or
Apprentice Gasfitter License, until he shall have applied
for same on forms as provided by the Board and shall have
been examined as to his qualifications therefor in the
manner provided herein, except that an application for an
On—Site Utility Contractor's License must be accompanied
by a current prequalification certificate to perform
utility contract work as related to sewer, water and
storm drainage for Baltimore County.
23—9 Examinations:
Examinations shall be held at such time and place as
the board may direct. The examination shall be in writing
unless the Board shall otherwise direct as hereinafter
provided. Such examination shall be designed to test his
knowledge of the work contemplated to be performed under
