the license for which he has made application.
23—10 Method of Examination:
(a) The Board shall require written answers to
appropriate questions and may, in addition, in its
discretion require an actual demonstration relating to
the applicant's knowledge of the work contemplated to be
performed under the license for which he has made
application.
(b) The Board may, in its discretion, waive the
requirement of a written examination for a Journeyman
Plumber—Gasfitter or Journeyman Gasfitter license and may
in lieu thereof submit the applicant to an oral
examination with an actual demonstration of his ability
to properly perform plumbing and gasfitting work.
(c) Within a reasonable time after examination the
Board shall render its decision as to whether or not the
applicant is qualified for the license applied for, and
shall promptly notify the applicant of its decision. The
board will issue the appropriate license to qualified
applicants upon payment of the fee therefor.
23—11 Re-examination of Rejected Applicants
No new application from an applicant whose license
has been refused shall be entertained until after the
expiration of six months from the date of such refusal.
23—12 Suspension or Revocation of Licenses:
(a) The Board may, in its discretion, suspend or
revoke the license of any person who shall make any false
or misleading statement in his application, or who shall
sell, lend or otherwise permit any improper use of his
license, or who shall obtain permits for others to do
plumbing or gas fitting work, or who shall fail to
maintain a regular place of business.
(b) Upon receipt of written request from the
Administrative Authority, the Board in its discretion,
may suspend or revoke the license of any person who shall
commit any violation of this Title and the Baltimore
County Plumbing and Gas Fitting Code or any other law or
regulation governing the conduct of the plumbing and gas
fitting business.
(c) No license shall be suspended or revoked
except after public hearing before the Board of which the
license holder shall receive at least five days' notice
in writing, together with a statement of the charges
against him. Upon such hearing the Board may suspend any
