thereof, the same containing 48.1987 acres. Being a
portion of land which would extend the corporate limits
of Union Bridge in a Northerly direction.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that from and after the
effective date of this Resolution all persons residing in
the area to be annexed, and the property therein, shall
be and become residents of and property within The Town
of Union Bridge and subject to the provisions of the
Charter and Ordinances of The Town of Union Bridge.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of Union
Bridge shall cause a copy of this Resolution to be
published not fewer than four (4) times at not less than
weekly intervals in a newspaper of general circulation in
The Town of Union Bridge, together with a public notice
that shall specify a time and place at which a public
hearing will be held by the Mayor and Council upon the
Resolution, which hearing shall be set for not less than
fifteen (15) days after the fourth publication of the
notices and to be held at the municipal office of the
